CBSsports.com mock draft: Russ in 2nd round

+

They have him going in the mid-2nd round to Denver, Minnesota, or Milwaukee. I would love for him to go to Milwaukee. He would certainly make that roster and probably end up starting. None of Ramon Sessions, Brandon Knight or Nate Wolters have the playmaking and shotmaking ability that Russ possesses. He would also make a great TWolf (?), but Rubio has that starting spot locked up. So he would definitely be a bench player there. No doubt the fans would love him. And having he and Gorgs on the same team, well, it's just too perfect. If he goes to Denver, they already have like 3 of him. Not sure how that pick even makes sense, unless one or two of them are UFAs. Anyways, he'll get his shot somewhere.

Former Cards soccer star Andrew Farrell in line for a spot in World Cup 2018?

The only thing less certain than who will be playing for the US national team in 2018 is who will be playing right back for the US in the 2014 World Cup next month. But as the article below...

And some guy has an opinion on him based on film study. Hopefully he'll get a shot at being the feature back there, or somewhere. Dude deserves it, at least for one season.

Does anyone know when the official schedule comes out? Also, does anyone have any idea how the ACC picks its unbalanced schedule? I assume it will be similar to the old New Big East, with at least...

That Peyton Silva guy is pretty good

He and Stephane LaFlores are my two favorite members of the Louisville Cardinal. Check out the ROOKIE WATCH section and the quote below it. Also the video shows one of Peyton's 3 3-pt makes.

Earl's debut as a Knickerbocker

It basically came in garbage time, but he was aggressive and productive, putting up 8 pts on 2 of 5 shooting (0 for 2 on 3s, both of them off the front rim). He hit all 4 of his FT attempts. Earl...

Cards #4 in Sagarin ratings

Still at number 2 in both of his predictor ratings, and #20 in his more RPI-like rating.

Earl to join Knicks

+

That's cool. He'll back up Melo at times and play some small forward as well. Good pick up for the Knicks. Only 6 games out of the playoffs. They have a relatively light schedule after the next two games.

Cards #8 in overall Sagarin rating

+

But #2 in his predictor ratings. #20 in his "RPI-type" rating.

T-Will in LA

+

Apparently he's signed with the D-Fenders of the D League. They are the "farm" team of the Lakers. This could get interesting. He's always the most athletic player on the floor. And LA has a lack of athleticism.
