DO IT KINGS!

17

Here's a surprising bit of news: the Kings, who own the No. 7 pick, are showing interest in French center Rudy Gobert, according to Sean Deveney of the Sporting News. Most mock drafts have him as a late lottery/mid-first round pick, but none have him pegged for the top ten.

This year's ESPN Lottery Mock Draft

So, I was curious when the 2013 version of Chad Ford's Draft Lottery roulette game was going to arrive. Last night, I discovered that it is now live. Every year we all get a kick out of spinning...

When asked what would be the best place for him, he quickly answered: the Pistons. "I know they need a big, someone to play alongside Greg Monroe," Moultrie said. "He had a pretty good year. I think it's a perfect fit. He's more of a skill guy. I can block shots, rebound, run the floor."

OT Thread - More Diablo than Heat?

Ok kids. I have to admit, I've had pretty much no interest in the playoffs. I watched a bit here and a bit there so far. My bball bug kinda snuck away during exam time and hasn't really come back....

V., I am dissapoint this morning.

At least 10 hours have passed and I see no thoughts on .500 in two years.

Oh My God, No. Too much, so scary.

Please Rodney, for the love of all things sacred keep "balking" at the offer. You're worth so much more than 5 years/$45M.

Terrico White: "Pistons Letting Me go"

"Just got the news from @detroitpistons that they letting me go. Really didn't get a chance because of injury. Putting it in God hands now."

So...amongst all the excitement, I've been starting to remember what a mess this team is right now....

So...amongst all the excitement, I've been starting to remember what a mess this team is right now. To curb my uneasy feeling, I went and found a Need4Detroit video about Gregory Monroe. Watch this. Then go watch pt II. Remember how terrible last year was, but how this kid Moose made every game worth watching anyway. He's going to be better this year. And I am about as stoked for this thing to start as I can be. MOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!

Bye Tracy

Via PistonPowered, citing ESPN. No more McGrady around here, not that we're surprised.

SBN Write-up on Jared Sullinger (and other less imporant OSU players)

24

Really want to discuss this analysis of Sullinger. This is the first time I've heard someone really questioning his ability to shine at the NBA level. THIS IS NOT A DRAFT THREAD, just a talking about college/pro transitions and performance translation. Obviously 6'8" isn't ideal for a PF/C, but he wouldn't be breaking any new ground by being "undersized." The author spends some time talking about whether Sullinger can score on NBA bigs with 4-5" on him - assuming that he'll always draw the best defending big on the other team. That analysis kinda glosses over the fact that whoever's paired with him in the post is going to likely have a size advantage in their favor. You guys/girls get the point. I'm too tired to make a bunch of arguments right now, but this should get the ball rolling, right?

If Tayshawn leaves...

"If Tayshaun Prince leaves Detroit without a starting small forward, the Pistons will have to work through a thin class to find a starter. For depth at the position, the Pistons will take a close look at free agent Mike Dunleavy, who is leaving the Indiana Pacers." Signing a FA for our starting SF? Really Adrian? And Mike Dunleavy? Sounds completely wrong to me, but maybe just because I'm not crazy.

In other words, the Pistons might land at No. 8 a player they wouldn’t have been disappointed to...

In other words, the Pistons might land at No. 8 a player they wouldn’t have been disappointed to take at No. 2 or 3. And if the player taken at No. 8 this year turns out to be better than the one selected second, it won’t cause many jaws to drop.

... does he know that Derrick Williams will likely be the #2, and may be a more likely success than Irving? Via Langlois

lol. we slide a spot in the draft and it ends up costing fans more for season tickets!

PLEASE JOE

Jod, Please. Just Trade HIM.

Magic Z-Bo!

z-bo and dwight would be scary. that is serious post presence. competitive in the east if it goes through? or does their back court situation still fail too much to be elite?

Oden?

11

Since I'm on the "nothing's happening" train, just wanted to throw this out there. people have speculated some here that the Oden shopping would happen but it looks like it's really happening.

Yo Adrian

Woj comes through again with a great mocking of the heat. SPOILER ALERT! best moment? quoting Big Baby Davis: "Good for us to come in and spank that ass."
