Can't wait to see a bunch of different things unfold for me and my beliefs of the cardinals staff with this start. Will Reyes be a good starter in the MLB contrary to what Duncan and LaRussa believe? do we get shafted in the trade by not selling high, say after the 2006 World Series when his value could have been at it's highest ever in a Cardinals uniform? Will the Reyes/Duncan philosophy thing pan out to see if Duncan has maybe also ruined some careers as well as revived them? Friday will be an interesting day my friends, that's why this is baseball.

Line-up/Pinch Hitter Question

I made this a question originally on todays game thread, but I was working so I came into the thread at the very end and wasn't answered.

My question is: Can you have a pinch-hitter come in for the pitcher in the first inning, if he has not been into the game to pitch yet, and still bring the pitcher into the game?

My example: I used the game that Glaus and Pujols sat at the same time. This is my situation I have a question about- Top 1st, men on, doesn't matter on the outs I would think, but so no one has to elaborate....

Bases Loaded, 0 outs, we have batted around to the pitchers spot and we are the away team, could we toss in glaus for a pinch-hit (of course you would want to use #5 later for a more important situation) and after the inning, bring in our pitcher who was originally slated to start the game?

+side note: why do people freak out about a pitcher just warning the other team to let em know, don't hit my guys. He's looking out for his teammate chill Bill

P.S. I seen the cubs have a new entrance board

I typed 2008 draft in, and heres a site that popped up. Anyone have any insight on the fellows it predicts the Birds to draft. I see the dreaded cubs took the person I think should be drafted by the Cards if he even reaches that far realisticly. Here's the link http://www.mlbdraftsite.com/

Mlb Medical Staffs

By now everyone knows the shady ways of the cards medical staff, not giving clear and full information about injuries, timelines for recoveries, etc.. My point revolves around the injuries the cardinals have had with their players and the ways they have handled the matters. Do the other teams conduct their business regarding injuries on their team in ways that people have complained about the staffs, or sought other medical staffs for surguries or opinions(like rolen and his injury)or is it just the birds that have these problems?
