I was checking the Rangers spring training schedule and trying to see if any games will be televised over the next week.  I know there are only 2 games set to be on FSSW, and they are later in March.

I found that the Rangers and WhiteSox game will be on CSN Chicago on Thursday March 6 at 2:00 pm.  If you have the sports package on Dish or DirecTV you should be able to watch it.

Just thought you guys would like to know.

So you guys tell me how great the Direct customer service is and that we will get all the Rangers games.

So I make the switch through a company called DirectStarTV.

Through this company I was supposed to get 3 months free of some movie channels plus an extra $10 off my bill.  Also at the time of installation I rejected the protection plan.

Well I am on my second bill and about 5 phone calls to Direct.  They have gotten my bill wrong every month and have still not corrected it.  I am HIGHLY pissed off at their rudeness and stupidity.  I have tried to be very nice and they are morons.

They are charging me $10 a month too much, and charged me for the protection plan (which I rejected) for the first 2 months.  They finally cancel the protection plan, but turn around and charge me $10 fee for cancelling it. I did not fing sign up for it in the first place and now they want to charge me for cancelling it??????

Anyone else have any problems with these people????

I was checking the guide to record the Rangers home opener tomorrow on 667.  It is saying the next game is not showing until Saturday night 7. This game is not on My 27, instead it is on Fox 4. Anyone know if the Fox 4 games are on Direct. Any info will help as I need to set it to record before 8 am when I leave for work.

One team that may have a surplus of starters that's not getting a lot of press for it is the Tigers. Dave Dombrowski carefully seemed to indicate that 29 year-old southpaw starter Mike Maroth could be available.

Maroth pitches to contact and could be decent in front of a good defense.  He only makes about $3 mil and has two seasons left before free agency.  He'd probably come a lot cheaper than Kei Igawa, who might be comparable.  Maroth had surgery in June to remove bone chips in his elbow.  He wasn't quite right upon his September return and didn't make the postseason roster.

As far as lefty relievers go, Dombrowski chatted with Florida about Renyel Pinto.  They also might like C.J. Wilson and Ron Mahay of Texas.
