Mark Buehrle vs. C.C Sabathia...what?
When C.C. Sabathia first accepted the offer to join the New York Yankees, I remember someone on ESPN saying that C.C's well on his way to the Hall of Fame. Well, that made me think some. Don't we have a southpaw that has put up some impressive numbers with his time in the league as well? Let's take a look at Mark Buehrle compared to C.C. Sabathia and just figure out who is indeed the better pitcher.

The Four Horsemen...pt1
Hey guys....I've been watching our four everyday starters on a closer basis lately...and I have had this piece in mind for awhile now...just never got around to writing it. Now, I'm no colin or cheat, but I gotta say, writing this has been fun and hopefully can provide some decent insight and spark some discussion the next few days. It's basically an evaluation/expectation thing about our four horsemen going into the home stretch of the season...I'll start with Danks today, then follow up each day with Floyd, Vazquez, and Buehrle respectively.

Recap 7/25 Sox/Tigers
Well another win comes from nowhere. Just when you think that the lead could be down to 1 1/2 games...the Indians hold on and Jermaine Dye lifts the Sox over the Tigers 6-5 with a 2 out 2 run homer to right field off Todd Jones. It's great to see them come back and win against closers two games in a row. Bobby Jenks went three up three down in the ninth while D.J. Carrasco picked up the win in relief throwing 2/3 scoreless. Now onto more points.
Richie Sexson to be released by the Mariners?
Sexson is still due a ton of money this season and has been a huge disappointment for the Mariners...does this spark any interest in kenny williams...i would hope not
must win?
i know it is only june 12th tomorrow but i just can't help but say that tomorrow is a must win game. detroit looks to be on the upswing and get the dodgers and sf next while the twins will get the brewers and those nasty nats the next six games. tomorrow needs to be a statement game from the crew. kenny rogers has the assignment of getting the sweep for the tigers. rogers was tagged for seven runs in his only start against the sox earlier in april. mark buehrle will look to string together three straight quality starts for the first time all season and also shut down the tigers offense for the 2nd time this season. the bats need to get back in the spring of things tomorrow against the soft tossing rogers and get some more momentum rolling into the colorado series back at home. i just feel that a loss tomorrow may get the tigers on a huge roll and they might never look back and give the twins a small sense of hope back that they should never have to begin with. so here's to captain q having a big day at the dish and burls shutting down those tigers tomorrow.
2nd base...
so since juan uribe hasn't exactly panned out at 2nd base and is hurt...and even though alexei is coming around hitting the ball sold for us so far...does anybody else think that marcus giles could be a possible candidate to come in and play 2nd base? i mean he's no utley or uggla, but taking a look at some of his stats from a few years back...they aren't too bad 3 years of hitting over .290 with two of them over .310...decent speed and glove and last year just fell into a bad place with injuries in san diego...perhaps a change of scenery over to the south side with a first place team could turn him around and also give the sox an experience guy at 2nd and a strong middle infield with cabrera...just throwing that out there
