Windy City Gridiron Projected O-Lineman for 2010 Draft

As many readers here at WCG have stated, to include me, that the Bears need to draft, no scratch that, must draft an Offensive Lineman in the upcoming draft.  I’ve put together a few names for you to pay attention to during the upcoming bowl games.  Players to be on the look-out for so you evaluate them yourself and see if they have any hope of help out the mess of an Offensive Line.  All information is take from http://walterfootball.com/draft2010OT.php

Interesting breakdown of possible landing for the top 50 free agents.

For the Cubs:

Felipe Lopez (God I hope so, but Scutaro would allow Theriot to move back to 2B)
Jon Garland (Coming home to the team that drafted him, but I don't his pitching style works in Wrigley)
Rick Ankiel (Eeh, ok but I think Byrd might be better)

My favorite line

"I don't think they dislike him. But Milton's a unique guy who doesn't fit in, like the oddball kid in class,'' one Cubs-connected person said.

Is that you Al?

Live draft tomorrow at 6:45 pm

There is a couple different rules, so make sure you read the commish's note, but it might be fun.

Bleed Cubbie Blue The Greatest Gift a Soldier can receive

As I was sent at my desk today processing some paperwork my OPSNCO (Operations Non-Commission Officer) handed me a letter with a return address that had no city, state, or name on it.  Now normally I would have sent the letter to the Military Police, which is standard practice by the way for mail that doesn't have a complete return address, but I was busy and not really paying attention to what I was doing and opened the letter up.  Low and Behold one of the greatest gifts I could have received, I received!  It was 2007 Chicago Cubs World Series ticket and a great letter from a man who only identified himself as "Bob".  Now "Bob" has included an email address but every variation I have tried, since it contains both 0's and O's, has come back as undeliverable.  Since I can not send him an email directly, I chose to the next best thing, POST IT ON BCB.COM!

To Bob,

You have brought a smile to my face!  I have framed your letter and ticket and it will be post in my office till I leave here.  Once I return home I will be sure that it is placed in honored place in my office back home.  Please contact me by email.

To Al & Mike,

Your website is outstanding!  Keep up the good work!  Also I have no clue who "Bob" but if someone asks for my email please provide it to them.

To all BCB Readers,

Thank you for your banter and your witty comments; they bring a little enjoyment into my life.

THANK YOU BOB!!!!!!

Bleed Cubbie Blue The trade is on the table now

Well the trade is now on the table, according to Bruce Levine on ESPN Radio 1000.  Now can we finally get on with our lives.  All the people of Chicago can now resume work, the power and water will now start to run again.  The world may some be able to start turning on it axis again.  Alright people, either we will have a new Shortstop soon, along with a new young arm, or we will still have "one of the most dominating rotations in MLB" and a rookie Shortstop.  But I say we play the cards were are dealt, and remember it's the best cards that win the pot, it's the best player.  Maybe ole Dusty will pull something out of his sleeves.  Maybe Prior will return to his form of 03.  Maybe Murton, Cedeno, Jones, and Peirre will ber the spark we were missing, or maybe the Cubbies go in the toliet again.  That's why they play the games, or should we just hand the trophy to the "Evil Empire" right now?  I give old Bud a call right now and have him start engraving the trophey, is "Yankees" spelled with two Es?  I say 162 games to go and that is alot baseball to play.

Only about 6 weeks till pitchers report!!
