Thanks Grunfeld! Here comes NBA mediocracy
When you rebuild through the draft, you don't bring in veterans who are going to bump you up the standings and take you out of the top of the draft. Thats why you develop young talent, so that you are getting high draft picks who could turn into stars while your young talent is losing games but developing into stars. Its called being smart and developing young talent, which is what every sane GM would do if they were lucky enough to get John Wall.
D. Williams left the mediocre Jazz. Carmelo left the mediocre Nuggets. C.Paul left the mediocre Hornets.
Kevin Durant stayed home with the Thunder. Good GM who developed a young talented roster.
It's not that Oklohoma City is the best market in the country, it's the fact that they have a competent GM who wanted to develop Durant into the star of the NBA by giving him 100% support and supporting him with young talent that complemented his game. Our GM is putting every idiot into John Wall's way, Blatche Crawford whoever, so that he can't develop. And selling off our young pieces for 30 year olds.
Crawford, the second coming of Blatche
Jordan Crawford is standing in John Wall's way the entire game, come FA who do you want sticking around, Jordan Crawford or John Wall. It's ridiculous that they have Wall deal with the burden of spreading the ball around to keep everyone happy the entire game while Nick Young and Jordan Crawford get the green light to launch up whatever ridiculous bs they dribble themselves into. Let Shelvin Mack bring the ball up half the game, free John up to focus on his scoring so he can fully develop.
Fire Grunfeld. This goes w/out saying. It may have been just this season that Blatche is getting booed by his home crowd, but that resentment has been building for a long time. It's there for Grunfeld too we just don't get the opportunity to degrade him. Am I the only one that feels this way about Crawford, get out of John Walls way you fool. If this team is actually going to be a contender, they need to let John Wall, Jevale McGee and whoever our PF is develop completely, otherwise we're going to watch J.Crawford lead us to One and Outs like Grunfeld's last dysfunctional group.
Get Thomas Robinson or Jared Sullinger in the draft, let John Wall run his own damn team (let him score whenever the hell he wants to he already knows how to pass), don't trade away McGee because you were the only idiot stupid enough to give Blatche 40 mill, let Singleton play Vesely has the worst hands I've ever scene. Have S. Mack run point with John Wall in the game. Amnesty Blatche.
That is how you develop young talent, Grunfeld is a deer in the headlights who got lucky with the 1st pick. Gurantee you that dude would have convinced himself to take Evan Turner and pair him w/ kneeless Arenas if Leonsis wasn't running the organization.
Jimmy Clausen with the #4 pickRussSam Othe
Well I'm clearly on the get a different QB side of the debate but unlike everyone I want Clausen more than any player in the draft, even over bradford or okung.
I could explain why but it really doesn't matter, most people either just want Campbell to be our QB, or don't like Jimmy Clausen because of his personality. If we went tackle I would prefer Trent Williams over Okung anyways, but you all got to be more open minded with Clausen he's going to be a playoff QB in the NFL.
I would also like to point out that over the past 2 years, all those teams who drafted a tackle early, haven't had the improvement that teams who have drafted QBs have. I know thats real general and arguable, but I don't see a ton of success with teams who have drafted top 10 OTs lately.
Campbell vs. Clausen vs. Bradford vs. Brennan
Clausen - sure
Bradford - sure
Brennan - sure
Campbell - Sorry F U you suck.
Campbell is the league's most ineffective 3rd down quarterback. Campbell is in the bottom of the pack throughout the NFL performing with a pass rush in his face. Campbell is possibley the league's worst quarterback at providing urgency. Campbell has never lost a game for the skins, yea he has, he's never won a game. Campbell is a decent starting quarterback, who was the last decent quarterback to win a superbowl, Trent Dilfer. The league has changed, it's more focused on the quarterback, look at who does well in the playoffs, it won't be average QBs. F u for supporting campbell sorry I love all solid redskins fans but the arguments have been stupid. Yea he's never lost a game, he's never won a game late in the season or in the playoffs, thats not the QB im looking for at 27.
Vinny's Incompetence.
Out of utter necessity Cerratto has accidentally put together a decent oline.
Before that he did his best to be the most incompetent GM in the league. And from him stems the top to down lack of common sense I continually see this team lacking.
What the Hell:
1. Orakpo at LB - Orakpo is not only a non existent LB but he's somewhat of a liability he makes absolutely no tackles.
2. Orakpo at LB - Brian Orakpo has to play linebacker because we don't have a 3rd LB on this team, Cerratto didn't see it fit to sign one of the plenty of cheap veteran LBs out there or draft a single competent linebacker outside of the top 2 rounds so that we could put Orakpo at DE.
3. Randle El at punt returner - . This man hasn't had a solid return in 2 season how the hell is there no one else on the team to return punts. How has this change not been made why is there no one competent enough to see this when the entire fan base can.
4. Having no RG - Randy Thomas was blatantly not going to make it through the season. He might have even exceeded expectations at 2 games. Rhinehart was never considered a suitable starter. And Edwin Williams the undrafted C should not have been seen as a potential answer.
5. Ray Willis at RT - It unbelievably baffled me that as we were on the outset of making a decent and reasonable FA acquisition we suddenly got cheap. And Can't afford a RT for the price of 3.5$ mill over two years. When we just broke the bang once again like we do every offseason.
6. Landry at FS - I understand this at first. But I hate how we haven't figured out that Landry isn't a good FS and is a great SS. And we would never just sign a solid starting FS we only sign stars.
7. Routinely undermining his Head Coach.
NFC East Defenses
I just want to examine the leaders of the defense. It seems to me like the Eagles and Skins may have lost leaders, obviously the eagles. While the Cowboys and Giants didn't lose leaders. Nonetheless I still think the skins have by far the best defense and I'll give a quick breakdown of my thoughts on each with a ranking. Give me your opinions.
