After UCLA, I lived with the 3 greatest people/friends/Bruins ever in a house near the Marina and worked for a year at Cedars-Sinai in the transplant research lab. Each day, I'd set up experiments in the morning, have a Tommy Burger for lunch at State Beach, then finish experiments in the afternoon - life was good. Then I foolishly went into exile in Houston at Baylor College of Medicine, and landed in Denver for internship, residency, and a job as an ER doc. It's great here, but I miss the beach every day. I have an awesome wife (aerospace engr, MIT grad with a MS from...uhhh...$c) and 2 great kids. We need to restart the alumni club here! email anytime.

We were determined to get the young guys ready for the change of tradition and the change of culture and bringing UCLA back to glory. That almost feels better than coming into a team that was winning and already had success. I think it's a better feeling to change a team.
