Sunday Night / VEB Appreciation Thread

main thread is pushing 1000. not sure how much use there will be for this, but what the heck, here it is

The season is over, the Cardinals will play the Dodgers in the NLDS starting Wednesday night. So they've got that going for them. They didn't end the season the way any of us wanted them to. Especially losing to those Dbags, but at least we get 3 more games in October. Cherish that VEB. Because there's 22 other teams that don't get this priviedge.

I also just want to say a special thank you to Dan, Chuck & Red for all the hard work they've done this season. Like i said at the end of the main thread, replacing Lboros was probably an impossible job. But not only have they done the impossible, but they went above & beyond everyone's expectations & have actually made VEB better than ever. And that right there says all you need to know about those 3 gents. They made the best Cardinals site even better. So once again, I thank you three for all you've done. Without your hard work & dedication, this Cardinal fan & many others wouldn't be half the fans we are today.

And a tip o the cap to Az too. We wouldn't be VEB without our resident robot over lord. Enjoy your Sunday night VEB.

Sunday 8-27-09 Afternoon/Night Thread

The main thread is pushing a 1000 again, so here's a evening thread.

Not much good to say about the game. It's ending sure sucked hardcore. Albert's aggressive running ran them right out of a 9th inning rally. But the umps sure didn't help, but blowing another call & once again screwing the Cards. In case you missed it, with Lugo on 1st, Skippy hit a slow roller to Tolo, and in typical Skippy sexy style, he slid into 1st, and was safe by two feet. But the ump, in typical ump fashion, had his head firmly up his ass & called him out. Tony came out to argue, but it really looked like all he wanted a good tip on a nice vegetarian restaurant in the greater Denver area.

Oh well, they are still the NL Central Champs. I still hate to see them give away games like this. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

The GOB's finally woke up & decided the umps had screwed the Cards way to many times the past two days. It's about freaking time too. These umps are out of control. This really is a disgrace to the game to have umps this bad. I for one, welcome our new robot umpire over lords. They can't get here quick enough.

This just in the the news team news center, Adam Wainwright is awesome. Dude flat out shut down los gigantes tonight. it's a shame the umps screwed him out of a potential win. he really was the stopper the Cards needed him so desperately to be. at least DeRo seams to not be as hurt as we all feared. that's also some much needed good news.

oh, and this breaking news just in to our news center studio's.
