Big East player rankings: Running backs - Big East Blog - ESPN

3. Victor Anderson, Louisville. The Cardinals lose Bilal Powell but there is some talent here waiting. If Anderson stays healthy, I think he could be poised for a season similar to the one he had in 2008. He had a terrific spring, and he told me earlier this summer that he finally feels healthy and is determined to end his career with his best season yet. 9. Jeremy Wright, Louisville. I had a tough time between Anderson and Wright because I think both could easily have good years. My expectation is for them to share the load, but Wright is coming off an injury. He is expected to be 100 percent for the fall, but I give the edge to Anderson because of his terrific spring.

9. Josh Bellamy, Louisville. Receiver is a big question for the Cardinals, but with Bellamy returning, he should be the go-to player for Teddy Bridgewater and Will Stein. He has the size (6-foot, 206 pounds) to make plays and, now that he is going into his second year in the offense, should be much improved.

Rodney Hudson signing for fans on the field after the game. My friends and I tried to get to Ponder but he was one of the first players escorted off the field by the cops in their effort to clear the field. I did manage to get Hudson to sign my hat.

Five good, but under the radar classes

Louisville Cardinals head coach Charlie Strong and his staff have raided Florida (South Florida in particular) and have 11 commitments from the Sunshine State. Safety Gerod Holliman (Miami, Fla./Southridge)( is one of the best at his position in the country. Wide receiver Eli Rogers (Miami, Fla./Northwestern) was a standout at the Under Armour All-American Game and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (Miami, Fla./Northwestern) was an Elite 11 pick this year. Defensive backs Terrell Floyd (Port Saint Lucie, Fla.), Andrew Johnson (Miami, Fla./Southridge) and Jacquese Kirk (Jasper, Ala./Walker) are three sleepers in the secondary with high potential. This class could be the foundation of a rise back to the top of the Big East.

Five-star recruit Dorsey reportedly won't be a Michigan Man in '10

4

"What will be interesting to see is where he ends up in the aftermath. Because if he ends up at a JUCO then we know what the deals was-he wasn't qualified. If he ends up Florida State/Louisville/Cincinnati, then he was qualified, Michigan just didn't take him and of course that brings up the question as to why. We'll have to wait and see on that." Thoughts? If Dorsey came here, I could see him getting significant playing time at Safety and probably starting on special teams.

16. Louisville Number of verbal commitments: 11 Key recruit: DeMarcus Smith Still on the board: Lamar Dawson Next year's name to know: Josh Harris Freshman to follow: Jason Hatcher Comment: Charlie Strong continues his hot recruiting. With 11 commitments, Louisville is well on its way to a deep class with some impressive talent. An injury ended Smith's junior campaign prematurely, but his sophomore season, in which he tossed for more than 3,200 yards, was remarkable. Ballard's DeVante Parker should see the field sooner rather than later for the Cardinals. Strong will need to continue to lock up the top players in the city while also expanding his reach into other states like Florida, where he is well-established.

How will the Big 10 Expansion news affect the Big East and what should they do?

Florida State’s offensive storylines to watch entering spring practice - OrlandoSentinel.com

A. Craig will work with the QBs not the RBs 2. Thomas getting pressure from Jones? Only if Jones gets his diabetes in check and bulks up quite a bit. I'm not sure where he stands on the mental side of the game. D. You can't say that a story line for the spring is the OL having all 5 starters back if not all 5 starters are participating in Spring ball.

Tyler Harrell and Randy Salmon transfer to Louisville

Harrell is transferring from Iowa where he red-shirted his freshman year so he'll be a r-So. by the time he hits the field at Louisville. Salmon signed with Louisville 2 years ago but went the JuCo route. An article I saw said he will be in for the spring.

Watching the 6A title game and before the game started they showed Trey Pettis pumping up the other OLs and he has looked good early on in the game.
