God may love Tebow, but He has to have a soft spot for Gang Green! All four teams we needed to lose lost, (Bills, Bengals, Titans, and Chargers), and the fifth, (Chiefs), plays the Steelers. Jesus, can we actually do this? No, seriously...Jesus , if you are listening, CAN WE PLEASE GET TO THE PLAYOFFS! Thank You. P.S. I am Tebowing right now!

This is more of a rant than a post, so there won't be any stats or links to back up what I say. This is just my belief and gut feeling. That said... I have had it up to HERE with the statements and prevailing belief that we can only win if Sanchez turns into Brady or atleast Eli. Every week someone goes on and on about how we will only go as far as Sanchez takes us or we can't win if he doesn't take it to the next level. I think this has hurt us.

First of all it is not true. We have won with him just as he is. That is a fact. 9-7 and the AFC championship game in 09 and 11-5 and the AFC championship game in 10. And in neither AFC Championship game was he the reason we lost. I know..."If he played better we would have a home playoff game!" NEWSFLASH: we don't play that much better at home in the last two years! And we were excellent on the road. The simple truth is we HAVE won with him. I can name better QBs whose teams haven't won as much as we have in the last two years.

Why do I think it has hurt us? Because the push to make him this air general has moved our focus off what we do well, which is run and play D. Why do we have to have an Offense that passes more than runs? Because everyone else does? Who cares. Isn't winning more important?

Look, Sanchez is never going to be THAT type of QB. Doesn't mean he isn't a winner or good. So many good things happen when we run well. We eat the clock, Sanchez is more effective on play action and a moving pocket, our Defense gets to rest so they are stronger and fresher, and it keeps Brady and the rest of the ELITE QBs off the field. The rest for our D is important. Since we don't have a D Ware type player we need our guys as fresh as possible. when they are tired they look very average.

Going into the Pats game all I heard was Sanchez should have a field day against their weak secondary. He should Do what Eli did. The Giants and Steelers have showed us the way to beat them. Funny... I thought we beat them in the playoffs in Foxboro. And I thought the Ravens beat them the year before, a team that is a lot like us. Do we really want Sanchez in a shootout with Brady? We were getting great yards on the ground with Greene and LT but they had limited carries in the first half when the game was close, (I think Greene had 8 carries). Wouldn't it be better to keep Brady on the sidelines and our D rested?

I don't care if Sanchez is top 10 or not. Just dont mess up, get us into the playoffs and turn into the 96 QBR passer. We function better when we focus on Ground and Pound and not talk bout it. OH...and fire SCHOTTY! Thats what I want for Christmas.

Total access recently did a piece on the best cornerback tandems in the league. It can be viewed HERE

The piece wasn't titled "The most under rated CB tandem" or "The best up and coming tandem". As such I have a problem with both choices made by Mushin Muhammad and Rod Woodson.

Woodson's choice of the Bengals tandem of J Joseph and L Hall isn't as off base as Muhammad's choice of Dolphin's tandem V Davis and S Smith. While C Woodson and Revis were mentioned but they're tandems were dismissed. I'll leave it up to GB fans to defend Woodson and company.

As you look at the key stats it is hard to put those two tandems above Revis and Cro.

*-includes reg season + 1 playoff game

**- includes reg season + 3 playoff games

(tks, pd, ints compiled from Sportsillustrated.cnn.com. Ta, %c, QB rt compiled from Profootballfocus.com.)

The disparity between the Dolphins tandem and the the other two is to large to warrant their inclusion in this discussion. Mushin's seems to give them credit due to their youth but that makes no sense since none of these guys is over 25. The Bengals tandem is harder to call. They have been consistently good. While you can argue that they are both better than Cromartie the gap between them and Revis is huge. So the question is are they that much better than Cro as to cancel out Revis's dominance. I would say no. Cro has been on the decline since his Pro bowl season and still his numbers are close to JJ and LH. The glossy stat numbers, (tks,, pd, and ints), are hugely in the Bengals favor however, the other stats provide a good view on how effective a CB has been. QBs were only slightly more effective throwing at Cro.

The reasons I would give Revis and Cro the edge is because Revis IS that much better. But also because if Cro returns to his pro bowl ways or even close he has the potential to be better than both of them. I think a return to man to man coverage, the fact he is playing for a contract, and the defensive mindset that the Jets have will help get him back to those levels. We had the best secondary with Lito and Cro is far better than him. I PITY THE FOOL THAT TRIES TO THROW ON REVIS AND CRO!!!

Total access recently did a piece on the best cornerback tandems in the league. It can be viewed HERE
