Marco to the Raptors? For Kapono? Or is there a multi-team multi-player deal(s) in the works? Between the Nets, Raptors, Warriors? What do you guys think?

Let's call it TALL BALL

TALL BALL - means CaptainJack at PG, Maggette pounding the ball inside, Biedrins getting offensive rebounds and converting on plays planned for No.15. TALL BALL means solid defense, good rebounding and being more selective at the 3-pointer and making more plays inside. Now here's what our Warriors need to do to get much better. Practice more plays at controlling the game during the last four minutes. NELLIE - you need to earn your pay and lessen the one-on-one game. That's a play too easy to call. Be more inventive - use more of your players and pound the ball inside for an easy basket. If our beloved team has the lead, then use more of the clock. NELLIE - Have them practice the free throws. You know this is critical in the last four minutes. (I know you are doing this already - so keep it up). Now that you have Kurz back - use him for that unexpected play at the end of the game (a 3-pointer or easy put back). Or come with a play that has a high percentage of getting at least 2-points. Basically , that's what NBA coaches are paid for - plays at the end of the game. Long term (Bobby, Mully) - Trade Al for a PG in RFelton (+ another Bobcat player - Adam Morrison like some GSOMers have recommended) or SG and All-Star in Mike Miller. If they don't work out, then that will free up cap space for the 2010 season. Get BOSH in 2010. Our Warriors will have not only have the BIg 3 (see Boston) but the Fearsome Four - CaptainJack, Maggete, Bosh and Monta. All established 20-points-per-gamers. I promise to get at least two premium season tickets. Promise.

Keep Kurz movement

Let's start a Keep Kurz movement. In the last game, he showed a proficiency for shooting 3-pointers and good defense, Dubs don't need Dickau, Hendrix or Marcus.

Trade Al Harrington for Raymond Felton. Best scenario for both teams. Bobcats get their big man and let DJ be their PG. Dubs get their PG. Salaries almost same. Perfect Match.

Bobby and Mully - Please pull the trigger on Marbury if you don't get Felton. Trade Al for a first rounder. We'll luv you more.

With Olympics over, thoughts about the NBA West

With the Olympics over and with 12 gold medals safely tucked away, it's time to think about the NBA Western Conference. This is how the West will play out for the 2008-2009 season:

1. Lakers will continue to win despite losing Turiaf. Kobe and Pau will tire towards the end of the season and not win as many games. In fact, not many teams this season will win more than 50 games.

2. Houston Rockets will get the second seed with key acquisitions: Artest and Barry joining a very talented cast led of course by Yao, Tracy and Scola. This will be Adelman's second year with the team and he will continue to tweak his plays to fit his team. (Not sure why he didn't really work out with the Ws).

3. Utah Jazz is still a solid team with solid coaching and Korver playing a full season.

4. Hornets will lose a step and Paul-to-Chandler will be a tired act which some teams will stop.

5. San Antonio will age another year and more players over the age of 30.

6. Golden State Warriors (yes, our team!) will not win 49 games but will post another winning season. Monta Ellis will not shine as a point guard but will average over 20 points per game. Will see B-Wright emerge as a star and Bellinelli be exposed as the second coming of Vinny Del Negro. A-Randolph will play some minutes as point forward. Corey Magette will continue to score points and get from bad to worse on defense which will cost some games.

7. Dallas Mavs will see old No.5 - now No.2 think about retiring towards the middle of the season and end 2009 as player-coach.

8-9. Phoenix will continue their slide especially without D'Antoni and fight the youthful and spirited Portland Trail Blazers for the last playoff spot. Expect the Trail Blazers to finish higher if Brandon Roy is not out for too long.

Expect the Minnesota T-Wolves to improve more this season and finish strong. Denver was dumb and miscalculated in letting Camby go for peanuts. Clippers will lose Davis early in the season but may come back and make a run. Memphis and Oklahoma City (choose Thunder already!) and Sacramento are in rebuilding years (still).
