Interesting.

Sure, he's too puny for Barry Lamar to take seriously - but I have to admit enjoying some of his programming.

Thoughts?

"Poor working conditions and occasionally unruly crowd behavior" make it hard for the A's to attract free agents. Their move in 2012 should help.

Their move to Vegas? Sacramento?
Or is Fremont THAT much better than Oakland?

CC's Opt-out Clause (Keeping the Dream Alive)

So lets assume that the Yankees don't win the 2009, 2010, and 2011 World Series. By that time the entirety of Yankee Nation will be looking to BBQ CC and CC and the wifey very well could be looking for much greener pastures (heh - grazing). Since the Winter Meetings are drawing to a close and all this rampant speculation on steroids is slowing down a bit, would anyone care to look into their decoder ring, crystal ball, or their last warm swig of Olde English and take a stab at where CC signs after he opts out from the Yankee deal?

-- Sign with the Giants?

-- make another deal with the Devil and sign with the Bums?

-- join Teixeira on the defending World Champion Nationals?

-- or opt out and renegotiate with the 3 time defending WS Champion Yanks?

and just what about this Opt Out Clause anyway? Paranoia theory: Players Union demanded he take the record deal and suck it up 3 years for the good of the union until he opts out and THEN can go play where he actually prefers. Sneaky union.

This is my first fanpost and I'm sure I've made greivous errors in design and format, please be gentle. As far as conent goes -> this is quality BS I just cooked, so enjoy!

Per ESPN : http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3759182

Sources told Olney that, to get the deal completed, the Yankees added a seventh year to their original six-year, $140 million offer, bringing the total package to seven years and $161 million -- at $23 million a season, by far the biggest contract for any pitcher in history. He also confirmed that Sabathia can opt out of the deal after three years -- addressing his concerns about living in New York with his wife and children.
