For those with iPhones, (and in case it hasn't been posted here before) here's an app by ColtPower
Or, if that link doesn't work, just go into iTunes and search for Indianapolis Colts
Colts draft....Human Torch?
I've seen some crazy mock drafts, but this one takes the cake
Jaguars hope to have crappy special teams...
...hire Russ Purnell as ST coordinator

Dungy covering Super Bowl for NBC
It'll be interesting to see what he has to say, although anything has to be better than Matt Millen...
Simmons is back...and full of the usual BS
It's pretty much expected he's going to disparage the Colts, but to say they'll barely make the playoffs is taking things WAY too far!
Booger is in Pittsburgh
It looks like the D-line rotation has taken another hit.
I had hoped the Colts would still be able to bring him back at a lower salary, since it didn't appear anyone else was showing any interest in him. I would think that DL is definitely going to be a position that the Colts will invest a couple of draft picks in now.
Good luck in Pittsburgh (but not too good of luck!)
Colts safety in Pro Bowl...
...and it's not Bob Sanders.
Antoine Bethea is finally getting some recognition for his great play this year, and has been named as a replacement to the Pro Bowl team for Troy Polamalu. That gives the Colts 6 Pro Bowl players, although the fact that Brackett didn't make it (and still hasn't been named as an injury replacement) is ridiculous.
Simeon Rice released
The Indianapolis Star is reporting that Rice was released today.
It's not too surprising I guess, considering that when he did get into the games, he didn't make that big of an impact. Besides that, the rookies (Dawson and Pitcock) are playing every bit as good, if not better, on pass rush situations than Rice was.
Update [2007-11-27 16:33:52 by BigBlueShoe]: And, just like that, pretty much everything said by TheSportsGuru and other Broncos fans was correct: Simeon Rice is done. Simeon's release means one of two things:
- He was so bad it induced projectile vomiting from Polian watching in the press booth, or
- Dungy and Polian are very, very happy with the young guys (Dawson, Thomas, Brock, etc.) that having Rice was just a wasted roster space.
Colts 4 disc DVD set
Just in time for the beginning of the football season, it looks like the DVD box set of the playoffs will be released on 9/4/07. It includes the 3 playoff games and the Super Bowl! This is going to be really cool!
Here's the website where you can preorder it. Hopefully it'll have video footage of the celebration in the Dome too!
Rhodes going to Buffalo?
ESPN is reporting that the Bills have traded McGahee to the Ravens.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2791831
Since Ahman Green and Jamal Lewis, the other "big" name free agent running backs, have already signed with other teams, it would seem that the Bills would start making a hard push to land Dominic.
Colts resign Morris
As great of a job as he did last year, I still hope that he can go back to being the top backup as well as special teams standout. Assuming we can get Cato resigned and draft a Will with our 1st round pick, things should be just fine.

Dallas Clark can't control himself at girl's basketball games
I'd say that the refs were definitely NOT Colts fans! It sounds like they were just a bit touchy on receiving some very basic criticism. Either that, or maybe Dallas just wanted to take some of the heat off of Dom...

the Tom Brady face
Bill Simmons (aka the Sports Guy) is notorious for talking ad naseum about the "Peyton Manning face" in his columns. Well fellow Colts fans, I now present to you....the Tom Brady face! It appears to be half "wow, I'm really constipated" and half "did I just blow the biggest lead in conference championship history?" http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/specials/playoffs/2006/01/21/patriots.brady.ap/in dex.html
Kravitz at it again
In today's Indianapolis Star (http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061129/COLUMNISTS01/611290473), Bob Kravitz is still trying to stir things up by trying to show that Dungy and Polian are putting a spin on the whole Marvin-leaving-the-field-early story. Does he have nothing better to write about? This is a complete non issue! To try to turn this story into some big conspiracy is absolutely ridiculous. And yet all the sportswriters can never seem to figure out why Marvin never talks much to them. Maybe it's because sooner than later they end up turning on you just to get their story for the day.
Finally someone at ESPN recognizes what the Colts have been through
Michael Smith has written a great article (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=smith_michael&id=2653693) that illustrates just how much the Colts have been through so far this season, and how they're better than the past few Colts teams b/c they know how to win the close games.
Belicheck's ego
All week, no matter where you turned or what you read, everyone was saying how the Patriots would just run up and down the field against the Colts. And even during the first half, the Patriots showed some signs that they were able to move the ball fairly effectively running the ball. However, somewhere late in the 2nd quarter, Belicheck's ego got in the way. It's almost as if he said to himself before the game "I know that this is how I should probably attack the Colts, but I think I'm so good that I can do anything I want, so I'm going to do the complete opposite just so I can say after the game that I can impose my will regardless of who we play." That made it even sweeter to see his pompous "I am greater than all" ego come back to bite him in the ass.
It also helps to have your Pro Bowl safety back in the lineup, which tends to make what everyone considered a suspect defense a little tougher to play against; a fact that nobody outside of Indianapolis seems to want to recognize.
Colts restaurant
If you're in the Indianapolis area, here's a new place for Colts fans to eat:
http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061014/SPORTS03/610140405/1004/SPORTS
The best part about it is the ball "stuck" into the wall far right of the goal post, right above a Vanderjagt jersey.
It's about time that Indianapolis finally got something like this devoted just to the Colts. The only downside to it is that it's not downtown.
