The golfpoet is Leon S. White. I have a passion for golf gained over many years of playing and also a love of poetry. I have two degrees from Stanford University ("58, ‘59) and a PhD from Columbia University (’64). I taught for 10 years at the Sloan School of Management at M.I.T. During my working life I also held executive positions with the City of Boston and Massachusetts Blue Cross. While in high school, I caddied at the Claremont Country Club in Berkeley, CA. I began playing golf regularly in 1984 and have since played in Scotland and have had a hole-in-one.

I have a blog called GOLF COURSE OF RHYMES. The purpose of the blog is to give avid golfers an opportunity to learn about the links that exist between golf and poetry.
