I usually prefer playing a team after they have a victory, because those teams typically lack the urgency that follows a loss. But a victory that keeps their playoff hopes alive? Yeah - I don't like that at all. Damn you, Cardinals!

Congrats to Hank - he always seemed like a nice enough guy. Its a shame he only has 1 catch for 5 yards this year. I would have liked rooting for the guy - except when/if he plays the Eagles.

Yet the article isn't nearly as negative as the headline implies. Its just a re-cap on the story JasonB posted the other day: where Vick talks candidly, and logically, about his future.

I guess the media needs to brew a controversy after the failed attempt of driving a wedge between Vick and McNabb.

I'll take the win, but the Redskins should at least be credited with an Assist....

Bandwagon Jumpers?

On today's "Playbook" show on the NFL Network, analyst Mike Mayock was commenting on Andy Reid and the Eagles and said: "I live in Philadelphia. We jump on and off the bandwagon quicker than any other city." That led co-host Brian Billick to chime in with a snide and sarcastic "Nooooo..." (as in: "ya think?")

The analogy didn't exactly fit with the rest of Mayock's comments other than it's negative tone. But it got me thinking about Eagles fans.

Sure Philadelphia has people who ride the bandwagon, but those are the fair weather fans that you will see in every city across the country. The casual sports fan, the elderly aunt, the closet Cowboys fan, etc. But those types of people are few and far between. The bulk of Eagles fans, which would make more sense to cite if you want to generalize us, are some of the most passionate and knowledgable fans in the country!

Anyone who lives in Philadelphia knows that Eagles fans, of the true variety, will never jump off the bandwagon no matter how horrid our team is. I'm talking about people who survived Norman Braman, Marion Campbell, and Rich Kotite - and that's only going back 30 years. In the past decade, I haven't seen anything that is even close to the those awfuls periods in Iggles history. Yet this "Philadelphian" states as fact that we lead the league in bandwagon movements. If we're still here after decades of frustrating endings and tenures, does he really think that Andy Reid's playcalling is going to force us to trade our jerseys for another team? Please.

If he seriously thinks that, then he listens to WIP too much. And hopefully the next time that station sends a busload of Philadelphians out of town somewhere, I hope he's on it and I hope he only has a one-way ticket.

Renting an Eagles Bus?

Does anyone know where I can rent a green Eagles bus (school bus type)? I want to rent one for my wedding and use it for the bridal party. I found one online but the price seemed pretty high. It was a very nice bus, but it my opinion - the dingier the bus looks... the better! Appreciate any help you guys/gals can provide. Thanks.
