I never cared for pro football until the Chiefs can to town, but became a real fan in the mid 60's. Watching the first Super Bowl was rather painful when the Chiefs were really out classed. Watching the Jets defeating the Colts was almost as gratifing as the defeat of the Vikings a year later. I think of it as the Jets put the nails in the coffin and the Chiefs drove them in. After the first Super Bowl defeat watching the Chiefs completly demolish the Bears was some revenge. At times I will share my thoughts on the early days as best i can but it has been 45 years. Go Chiefs.

Why not free agency?

I read so many things about we should hit the free agency market for big names and I say it is not going to happen for a lot of reasons. Scott was getting a boat load of criticisum for not signing them last year and I think he tried , no takers. First the GM must get by the agent before you can even talk with the player and that was not going to happen. I think when i made a comment on Josh's Tuesday program that I thought the most important in getting free agents was the player wanting to be a Chief. I could hardly believe it when KC Chief came back with a reply: yeap! Money is not everything. Washington paid their NT a reported $100 mil. That probably get a NT. Not going to happen. KC chief being an insider could not say much but a yes or no can not get you into much trouble usually My confirmation, I think.
So the question is why?
So after the jump are my reasons. Can you come up with any? Am I full of it?

After watching Missouri Kansas game I am wondering who might the Chiefs draft from the Tigers or Jayhawks.
