"Just because they have a lot of players at my position, it doesn't mean anything," DeRozan said. "A lot of players come in and takes people's spots."
DeRozan added that he really thinks the Warriors are interested in drafting him.
"I get a feeling that coach (Don) Nelson is really interested," DeRozan said. "He talked to me, told me I did well and said he'll see me soon."

Has Turiaf made Biedrins expendable?
I honestly hate to say this, because I am a huge Biedrins fan--but I would be lying if I said that the question hasn't lingered in my head during the past few weeks.
It's no lie that Biedrins has had a very productive season this year averaging a double-double and doing other things off the ball. However, not to take away anything from him...you have to also consider the fact that his rebounding statistics are slightly weighted, part of the reason being that nobody else on our team in the beginning of the season rebounded the ball.
But, the real problem I wanted to address though is the fact that Beans' is a very one-dimensional player right now, so to speak. With the absence of a true point guard to deliver him the ball, it's very difficult for him to create his own shot. I know that he's only 23, but at times I question how high Biedrins' ceiling really is...
On the other hand, Turiaf has that mid-range jumper that has become pretty reliable this season and I think that it's widely known that he has great interior presence on both the offensive and defensive end. The only thing that Turiaf needs to work on is rebounding--but I think that he has addressed that problem and is definitely improving upon that progressively. One thing I noticed about Turiaf is that he plays better when he gets more playing time. He becomes more effective playing 30-35 minutes, rather than 15-20 minutes.
The advantage to having Turiaf on the floor opposed to Biedrins is his size and bulk. If we're looking into the future of having a front court composed of Randolph, Wright, and Biedrins...we would be surrendering way to much space in the paint. Guys like Millsap, Maxiell, Howard etc. would literally kill us. It would be much more efficient if we had both Turiaf and Randolph playing side by side for the majority of the time. I think that they compliment each other well.
Unfortunately, I'm not so sure that a front court of Wright, Randolph, and Turiaf will work out in the future either. I feel like that's just too many players that are only capable of doing similar things. Unless Randolph expands his game and becomes more of a point 3 than a 4. But even so, Nellie would never allow 3 "big" men on the court at the same time. Randolph and Turiaf are 'must-keeps'...that leaves Wright out of the mix.
This off-season will be interesting and I think that we obviously need to make some moves, but we also need to keep our core together.
Players we 'need' to keep: Randolph, Morrow, Ellis, Turiaf
Players we should keep: Jackson, Azubuike
Players we could move: Crawford, Wright, Watson, Biedrins
Players we should move: Maggette, Belinelli (I love him, but there's just no room)

Brandan Wright Interview on KNBR
A little late...but this is for those of you that missed it...
AR Comparisons
Very interesting speculation. Makes me excited.
GSW March Madness Feature
TJ Ford/Jarrett Jack Feud
It seems like we have some tension between the two Pacer PG's. Maybe we could land one of them in the off-season? I'd really like to see 2 Jack's on this team...
Has anyone seen these? Haha just some funny pictures that I didn't really know existed...
AR Sportin the Dodgers Cap?
...In SF! haha. Go see for yourself on the new Warriors Weekly video on the home page.
"We didn't expect that," Porter said. "He hadn't hit that many 3s this year. He hit a couple 3s and it got him going. I don't know if that kid has attempted four 3s in a game, let alone made 3. He was open and shot them with confidence."
-Terry Porter on Azubuike
Just for the record, Azubuike has taken four or more 3-pointers in 12 games this season. In five of them, he's hit three or more. But more noteworthy is that apparently Porter doesn't think Azubuike is a good 3-point shooter.
Morrow not in the Rookie/Sophomore game.
Looks like nellie's wish for morrow to make the rookie / soph game didn't come true. hopefully, this just motivates Morrow and adds to the chip he already has on his shoulder.

Grades
Steinmetz' posted an article as of late, grading all of the players' first half of the season. I was just curious to what everyone else would grade these players and why. Here are my grades so far:
Azubuike: A- ; Buike has shown us what he is capable of progressively every game. At the beginning of the season his shot was a little off, but after finding it again...he's lights out from the field and 3-point range, shooting the same percentage for both: 45%. Buike is definitely a keeper and will be a solid 6th man for as long as he's with the Warriors.
Belinelli: B ; Marco has made a 180 turn-around from the start of the season to now. I can't say that he was bad at the beginning of the season, because Nellie never really gave him a chance. But once it was given, he proved that he belonged in the rotation. He can pass, penetrate, and shoot the ball. The only downside is when he's not on, he is "really" not on.
Biedrins: A ; Biedrins does so much on the court that the stats really don't show. LIke Fitz pointed out, when Biedrins isn't on the court, we are simply not a better team. He provides energy and second chance points. He rebounds and also has improved a lot on his passing. He just needs to work on his free throws because it's just not working out. Also, I don't know if it's just me but has Biedrins not been making those "easy" shots lately like he could last year? Maybe playing with his national team in the summer wore him out a little.
Crawford: B ; I am a Jamal fan and like what he brings to the game. I think he is a very exciting player and he's a really cool guy off the court. Jamal has the ability to become the leader of the team (or one of them), but in order for him to do that, he needs to become much more efficient. That means not shooting so many jump shots whenever he feels like it and driving to the basket more when his shots not falling. I know he doesn't like contact, but he's so much better driving to the rim than settling for the mid-range shot. He just needs to switch it up a bit.
Davidson: Inconclusive.
Ellis: Inconclusive.
Jackson: B ; I know many will disagree, but Jack in my opinion is a really underrated player on the team. I won't deny that he does make A LOT of turnovers and tries to do to much at times, but take into consideration that Jack really isn't playing his role on the team like he did on past teams he's been on. Jack is best and most efficient as the 3rd option. He can score, rebound, pass, and basically do everything on the court that is needed...just not being the go-to-guy. I'm almost sure of it that when Ellis comes back, you'll see less turnovers from Jackson.
Kurz: C ; Kurz is not that bad of a player, but on any other team in this league, he would have been waived already. Kurz can occasionally knock down the mid-range shot on the top of the key and he also blocks out, which is a plus. He's your traditional basketball player and has good fundamental skills.
Maggette: C+ ; Okay, if this was "pre-hamstring injury" Maggette I would have given him a big fat F. But since he's returned from his injury, I have to say I'm impressed. Maggette has proved that his role is the 6th man on this team and I think he is truly great at it. He doesn't belong in the starting lineup because he is a scorer and we already have too many scorers on it. Maggette provides instant offense coming off the bench and at times, can get whatever he wants. If Maggette continues playing like this, I just might not regret signing him after all...
Morrow: B+ ; When I watched this kid play in summer league, I knew he would make it in the NBA some how. Morrow can flat out shoot the ball, but over the course of the season, he has also proved to be a very scrappy player and can do much more than just be a one-trick pony. He's a hard worker and is a great energy player coming off the bench. Like Buike, I think we should keep Morrow for a while because he has a lot of potential.
Randolph: C ; Randolph has loads of potential and can become a really great player in the league. He's only 19...and definitely plays like it. He needs to mature and gain some discipline in order to get playing time from Nelson...I think that will come after time though. Sometimes, Randolph tries to do to much and really needs to learn his role on the team. He has a lot of learning to do this year and really needs to either work on his mid-range shot or just stop shooting them because right now, because it clearly isn't working.
Turiaf: B ; A really great signing this off-season. Turiaf brings so much energy to the game and is a great shot-blocker. However, that can be a problem too. Sometimes, Turiaf focuses too much on blocking the shot than actually rebounding. He has the body to rebound, he just doesn't put it to use. Like Biedrins, Turiaf does so many things on the court that his stats really don't reveal. At times though, Turiaf needs to be more aggressive offensively because I've seen him pass up a lot of shots under the basket. Also he needs to stop biting off people's pump fakes as well, because that's a problem.
Watson: B+ ; There are a lot of C.J. haters out there, but I'm not one of them. C.J. is a great backup point guard in my opinion and is a really great shooter...he's hit a lot of big shots this season. However, he still needs to learn how to run a fast-break properly and penetrate the ball. Like Morrow, C.J. is a really scrappy player and can get a lot of rebounds at times too.
Williams: Inconclusive.
Wright: B- ; I am a huge Brandan Wright fan and hope he stays with the Warriors long-term. His only problem right now, is rebounding and staying consistent. Wright is one of those player's that is really capable of getting anything he wants because of his giant wing span. He needs to bulk up this off-season though because he is getting knocked around in the paint. He also needs to become more aggressive when he plays, maybe he should take a few lessons from Randolph. I think Wright would have become a more polished player had he stayed in college a few more years...
Those are my grades for the mid-way point to the season. Reply with your grades if you want. To read Steinmetz's grades / article you can click here.
I think I will be alright. If we didn’t have this crowd it would catch up to you but this crowd gives you so much energy. I’m being dead serious. If we didn't have this crowd, I don't know if I could do it.
- Jamal Crawford
(on playing so many minutes)
If you missed the crazy Kings / Warriors triple OT game...here is the game summed up into 8 minutes including all of the critical plays that happened that night (Randolph's dunk, CJ's run, Morrow's run, Garcia's big shots, Azubuike's 3-pointer, Martin's 3-pointer, Salmons' game-winning shot etc.)
If you have YouTubed Buike, you've probably seen these videos. But for those who haven't, I thought I should post these college vids with some monster dunks.
What I find most odd about them is Buike actually showing EMOTION. Yes, emotion as in screaming...it looks almost weird. Really great dunks though...

Rebounding is a Serious Issue
I think it's time for the Warriors' front office to address the fact that we seriously need a rebounder / banger on this team. At this point, it's just getting ridiculous. We're losing games over and over just because we are getting out-rebounded and it's becoming redundant.
The only person rebounding on this team is literally Biedrins and occasionally Azubuike and Maggette. Randolph can rebound but Nellie is so stubborn that he won't even play Randolph for many minutes.
We have the pieces to become a really good team, but the lack of a rebounder is just killing us. We're shooting 45% or higher every game, yet we still lose because the other team is getting so many more shots and second chance points.
Salmons' last shot at the end of the 3rd overtime basically summed up our entire season. If we could have just grabbed the ball after Martins' miss, we might have had a chance to win it. But of course, Salmons' ended up getting the offensive rebound and ended up with the second chance shot which went in and won the game for the Kings'.
Along with free throws, our rebounding was a disgrace tonight's game (even though the stats don't really show it). Like Fitz' said the Kings are the 26th (something like that) in the league in rebounding, which is not good at all. Yet somehow, Brad Miller gets a career-high 22 rebounds, John Salmons gets 14, Jason Thompson gets 9, etc. We were much better in the second half of the game, but the first half (especially first quarter) was almost unbearable to watch.
Basically, I'm not just sick of losing, but I'm sick of losing in the exact same way we lost the last game. Mullin or somebody in the front office needs to address this problem because it's becoming more serious game after game after game.
In my personal opinion (and I'm sure a majority of you guys' feel this way too), it was a STUPID decision to waive Hendrix because that guy could rebound. I mean we chose freaking DeMarcus Nelson, Jermareo Davidson, and Rob Kurz over Hendrix. Just think about that...
