Podium Cafe The snake

I find this quote from Ricardo Ricco pretty tasteless.

“When I was found positive, I confessed everything. I was honest. I hope she does the same. People know I don’t like her racing, you can imagine what I think about her taking anything. Cycling isn’t for women, it hurts too much.”

“The thing that bothers me is what people will think. I didn’t need this but I can’t go and kill myself. I’m going to carry on training. It’s a strange situation but it’s nothing to do with me. We’ll do the counter-analysis but in the meantime I’ve been splashed all over the newspapers.”

Podium Cafe Horner to BMC - New DS?

Here’s one to contemplate. Will Horner just get pissed off and decide He’s broken enough bones and his bike handling skills are in decline – hang up the cleats and throw himself into a very productive role as the new DS for the expanded BMC squad?  Chris has proven to be tactically astute and a very smart cyclist.  He just crashes too much.

He is without a contract for next year and I can see Lance turning his back on Chris simply because he is so accident prone?

Podium Cafe Bob Stapleton - the monopoly?

So whats up with Bob Stapleton.  Will there be any conflict of interest with him having investment and influence in both Columbia and Radio Shack?  Or is he just covering his bases to ensure return on his investment?

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/bill-stapleton-and-cse-will-own-and-manage-team-radioshack

Will he simply merge the two teams?  Create a mega team? It seems a bit bizarre that he will can be so involved with two teams that will (I assume) actually be competing against eachother.  Will the work together to crush smaller teams (Garmin) or will he let the two teams function independently.

Why isn't the press covering THIS?
