CelticsBlog GAME 4 4TH QUARTER AND O.T

Celtics-Heat Part 1 Click here for Video

To the ones out their who want review the fall of game 4,and look at the Celtics poor execution. Bad passes, and some clutch shot's from both teams, and James possible travel. This will be one of those games were you look back and think. Only if we one. The Celtics will try to be number 9. Only 8 teams before have come back from a 3-1 hole, and two Celtics teams of the pass. Both won an NBA TITLE.

The other 3 parts will be on my channel.

CelticsBlog More from game 2 Quarter 2&3 breakdown

I watched this game again, and their were some bright spots, but more bad then good. I have a breakdown of some clips. Good plays, and turnovers the Celtics shouldn't make. The Celtics only turned the ball over 11 times, but they cost the Celtics big. The Heat took care of their scoring chances off turnovers. The Celtics missed some bunnies, and I expect them to make them at home. Game 3 will be a must win.

CelticsBlog Game 2 quarter 1 breakdown

If you want to torture your self, then watch, but if you don't want to watch James dunk? Please don't watch. It was hard to watch over, and pick 7 minutes of plays, that express the first quarter. Someone please pull  a Rambis on James,I can't say that,it's not P.C for today's NBA. It will be nice to get a foul call right? The Celtics ended the game badly, and I'm not sure if I want to watch it again. Here is the link below for the recap.

CelticsBlog Celtics-Heat game 1 recap

"Now we have to try to get amnesia as quickly as possible and try to figure out how we can play better," Heat coack Erik Spoelstra said.

"I thought they were prepared, they were ready, they played with unbelievable intensity."
-- Celtics coach Doc Rivers.

Wade had his first breakout game against the Celtics. After struggling in the four regular season meetings, Wade was 14-for-21 from the field. He scored 13 first-quarter points, deciding to take over the game in the early stages.

CelticsBlog The CELTICS report to battle tomorrow

The TV was on, inside the weight room, and it was a  live look in on Miami. The start of camp. It was around the clock Heat time on ESPN. Not even the back to back champs got the time on ESPN. Which I don't mind, but you would think a champion would get the air time. Inside the weight room some of the Celtics would watch the HEAT on ESPN.,They replayed the clips from over the summer, and they got some clips of the big 3 in Miami.

All summer long, the Celtics would hear about the new big 3 in south beach. How the Boston Celtics became the ideal mold of the new NBA. The league would try and copycat the Celtics success. The Celtics would hear the same old stuff. They're to old,and KG is not the same player. KG would prove to everyone that's a lie,and he's out for their heart. Ray and Paul look like the 2008 versions, and Ray a much better player this time around.

The schedule came out in early August, and before camp, the season opener was already set between the Heat and Celtics. The game would take place in Boston. The game was dubbed the most hyped season opener of all time. The hype machine was on full blast, and the Celtics sent a early message. I don't know what message you can send, but it doesn't matter when you win. The road was set before the game even started. The road to a title would come threw Boston. The HEAT know it,and the Celtics know if they lose it's because they didn't execute.

Is this a war? Will this be a battle? Will every game have a chippy moment or two? Last years war in Cleveland wasn't even a real battle. Lebron seems to hate the Celtics, and the Celtics truly seem to hate the Heat. What about the other Heat players? Is this more about Lebron getting passed the Celtics? I think it is,and I'm fine with that. I dislike him as a fan. The series last year with Miami had no bad blood despite the fight in game 1.It would lead to a KG suspension, but no more than that. Haslem who might not see time in this series. Called Pierce a studio gangsta. Call him what you want, but he will give what ever he has to win. I can't say the same about Lebron.

The most antcipated series of the season will start tomorrow. I hate to say war. Nobody will scarifice their lives, but it's a sports war. The Celtics have won them, and they have lost some, but one war there not going to lose? A war with Lebron and his crew. They say it's not an option. They have given their respect to Miami, but they will push them, and fight them if needed. They will execute(I hope) the game plan. The Celtics talk team, and they mean it. I don't know if the Heat know what that means. In the war of sports. You need a team, and if you have a weakness. You will lose. A weakness in a team member that tries to play too much hero basketball. That;s Lebron, and maybe Lebron is that guy alone. The Celtics will win if they use their entire team on the battle field. Something the Heat may not be able to do.

CelticsBlog Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat final preview

This story has just started. The regular season was part 1,and the playoffs will be the ending of this year long quest. Not the finals quest, but beating the Heat. That quest of beating the Heat will only lead us to the Championship path. The group of guys down in Miami have been compared to one other group. The Beatles? No the Celtics Big 3. This series really is about Lebron and the Celtics. He's 0-2 against the Celtics in the post season, and the Celtics seem to be in the way of his dreams again. This could be the final chapter in James quest to defeat the Celtics. I just hope it's a horrific final chapter. There hero James chokes again, and the Celtics ride off in the sunset.

I have three keys to the series.

1) Turnovers- You can not give the ball away against the Heat. They have two of the best players on the planet who want to run up the court for easy baskets. The Celtics can pass the ball too much, and listen I want them to pass. That's who they are,but the Celtics need to take care of the ball each trip down the floor. They will need to stay around 9-12 turnovers a game. They can't expect to win this series with 15 plus turnovers each night.

2)Rebounding- In two of the regular season wins. The Celtics lost on the boards. The number wasn't a big difference from the Celtics total, but the Celtics need to limit the Heat's offensive rebounds. That will be another way for the Heat to get easy points. The Celtics should be able to use Rondo on the boards and Paul. The Celtics chances of winning go up when both Rondo and Paul rebound. The Celtics still have size over the Heat. Even with the uncertain use of Shaq in this series.

3) Bench play- The Celtics have the depth, but will the bench show up almost every night? I hope so. The Big 3 of the Heat will log over 40 minutes a game. The Celtics bench will need to use there fresh bodies and do the damage. The bench should be in the game, when either Wade or James is on the bench. Jeff Green this will be his series if any. He will need to play up to his potential.

The Bonus key of the series.

Coaching- The Heat's struggles this year have been put on there coach more than once. The bump, and Cry-Gate during down times in Miami. Coach Spo hasn't been a battled tested coach in the NBA. Doc has been there done that. He has this teams respect, and he knows what buttons to push. They listen when he has a play, and they execute almost every time. If the Heat fall down early in this series. I think he will crack, and the team will let him crack. It seemed like last season that James gave up in the Boston series, and that's a test to how much he really wants it.

I have three Video previews you can watch thank you, Looking for writers still!

CelticsBlog LOVE THE GREEN

The court brings a passion. A passion that you and I can't even imagine. You see players like KG,and Durant play with so much emotion. What is it like? Some of us have played on a smaller scale. College basketball maybe,or a high school star. Nothing compares to the NBA. I can say the NBA is the best pro sport out there. The nation loves football, and they love America's past time. I love the green.

The white jersey or the green away jersey. The stich could be white or green it doesn't matter. They both bring tradition that's uncanny to any other team out there. The garden has changed, but the folks inside remain the same. Loud as ever, and vocal about every call, and every mistake by a ref. The crowd is smart, and they give energy when needed. The crowds show up when games don't even matter, but that's what the green uniforms do. The passion of the playoffs has picked up,and the tradition shines bright. How does 16 titles in 40 years sound. How about 17 total. The goal is more clear this year then any other season. The number 18 is not just any number. It means so much to guys who bring it every night like KG.There passion makes us fans believe, and fall in love with there play.

To us fans. It brings us comfort. Many of us spend all day focusing on the Celtics,or the game of basketball. Myself I have a full time job,but I find myself spending all my free time watching old Celtics games, and watching new and old NBA games that are not CELTICS games. I love this game. The players take a seperate journey, and us fans give apart of our selfs to the game. Yes we don't play, and yes we don't sign the pay checks of guys like KG or Rondo. We don't make trades or sign free agents. I wish I could do all of that. What I can do is cheer for the Celtics, and jump on the ride, and watch it laid  out in front of me.

As a fan you get attached to guys like Perk, and you will fall in love with guys you once disliked before (SHAQ AS A LAKER) It's all in good fun,but to some of us it's life, and it's mine. Of course I like to step back and smell the roses. I reacted like a school girl after the Celtics lost in game 7. I learned so much from that loss as a fan. You take one game at a time as a player, and I learned you take one season at a time as a fan.

This season maybe one of the last of the KG era. I would like to call it the Pierce era. Just for the fact he's been here over a decade. It's almost time for the most hyped 2nd round clash of all time. Until next season at least. Many of us have expected this match up. The Celtics road back to the finals will start this Sunday, and that's why I love the NBA,and the Celtics. A clash for the ages. Old guys vs the young guys. The passing of the tourch? Not just yet.

This series will have hate. ,and passion. Both teams hate each other. That's what I miss from the 80's NBA. Hell even the Heat and Knicks battles in the late 90's. I love the Celtics team work that's been a staple from 1960 to today. The sound of the garden crowd after a Ray 3,or the garden crowd after a KG dunk. I love it all. The start of the game when Guns and Roses Welcome to the Jungle comes on before the tip. I couldn't ask for a better core of players as a fan. Yes they mail it in during the regular season. Not counting the title season. 66 wins and the top seed. This Celtics team puts it all out there in the playoff's,and i expect the same on Sunday. The Celtics will win on the road, and that's why I love the green. They will break the hearts of the home team. After chants of "Boston sucks" How do the players tell the fans they suck? Paul will hit a dagger with 2 seconds to go in the game,or a Ray Allen 3 with no time in the game.

You can't escape the Celtics passion, and that's why I love the green,

CelticsBlog Celtics-Heat preview part 2

Today I'm going over the second meeting between the Celtics and Heat. In this game Ray Allen went off for 7 3's and 35 points in this contest. Rondo dished 16 assists with only 3 turnovers. This game was a total team effort. KG had a solid 13 rebound 16 point effort, and Paul added 25 points. Shaq would play only 21 minutes, and really was not the biggest factor. Shaq played only 21 minutes mainly from foul trouble, and he also returned to action after a five game departure. The Celtics lost the battle of the boards by two,and a key stat for the C's only 10 turnovers. You just don't want to turn the ball over against the Heat. Lebron and Wade want to run,and score easy baskets. Doc used a small rotation in this game. Baby/Daniels/Erden/Nate came off the bench. Baby played a solid game as he did on 2/13/11 against the HEAT. Close to 30 minutes in this game. Not great scoring numbers, but he grabbed 9 boards, and he played solid D.

Haslem was huge in this game missing only once from the field 9/10 for 21 points. I think if he's still out in this series good for Boston. If he play's,and Shaq is out. Well the Celtics may be in trouble. The Heat could use Haslem due to there front court issues. James went off against the Celtics for 35,and Wade struggled 2/12 from the field for 8 points.

The Celtics largest lead 20. In Celtics fashion they lost the big lead, and the Heat came close. The Heat cut the lead to 3 with a little under a minute to go in the game. Lebron tried awful shots down the stretch, and missed badly. Except a open 3 which he hit off the side of the back board. Enjoy the Recap video below.

CelticsBlog Heat week! Preview of the likely match up this Sunday!

The storyline in the third meeting of the season series between the Celtics and Heat. The Celtics have Perk for this game. The Oneal brothers would not be able to play. JO was out with his surgery, and Shaq's injury was just a few weeks old at that time. The Celtics used a 8 man rotation in this game. Daniels out,and so was D.West, and no Erden. The Celtics just lost to the Lakers, and going into this game the Celtics and Heat were at a dead lock for the top spot in the East, and the Heat wanted to win there first game against the Celtics.

Watching this game again. I wanted to focus on Perk. He has been used over and over again as the guy the Celtics miss and need, His impact is more than stats. In this game he played 30 minutes. He scored 15 points in this game 4/8 from the field., He actually made 7 of 9 from the foul line. Despite the scoring Perk only grabbed 4 boards. The Celtics lost the battle of the boards by just one. Perk also had zero blocks. His impact in the game watching it again? His role can be utilized by JO,and what Shaq can give us. That's still very uncertain at this time about Shaq. Baby and KG played very solid in this game. Baby played down the stretch, and just a shade under Perks minute total. Baby really had the bigger impact. Baby will need to play this way. His play has been up and down as of late. I have wanted Doc to reduce his role, but if he's able to play solid like this. I will want him to play. The front line of the Heat is nothing to worry about. That's at least a thought of many. The Celtics with Shaq would have the upper hand,

Pounding The Rock Celtics fan here! Pulling for the Spurs!

I love my Celtics! I have been a die hard for a long time! I think your Spurs team has made the best moves. You have the perfect blend of youth and veterans. I'm a Duncan fan. I think it will be a Celtics and Spurs Finals. The Spurs won't have the injury problems they had the last two seasons. I want to see this finals more then a LAKERS vs Celtics finals. Spurs beat the Lakers with your defense, and talent.Manu is a better 6th man then Odom. This team is not to old.Just like the Celtics are not to old. At the end of course I will be a Celtics fan.I will be cheering on the SPURS to win the West. I will watch all there games. I have league pass. Go Spurs !
