Kevin Kolbs stock seems to be soaring these past couple day. Due to the poor QB draft pool this year. But could Kolbs stock be even higher then we already think? I think it might be. Let me explain.

There are alot of teams out there in search of a QB. This is no secret and is something we all already know. But if the CBA is going  to carry on the way it has been and teams think it might extend through the summer. What team in there right mind would be willing to draft a QB to run there team this year?. They would not be able to practice with there team. No summer work outs. No training camp. Hell im not even sure there allowed to get a play book.

But if they trade for Kolb.  They already have a QB that knows how to play in the NFL. Plus can be ready to play for another team in short notice. Especially if teams think this CBA thing gonna last till late summer or early September. " Im not saying it will. But it just might."

This may not sound like too big of a deal. But who would you rather have on your team If  there's no training camp . Kolb, who's not going to need that much work to learn your system. Or lets say someone like Cam Newton. Whos not going to get a lick of practice in and wont know any plays before the start of the season?

I wouldn't be surprised if teams pass on a QB in the draft altogther this year. Then just line there 2012 draft picks up  to grab Kolb later this summer.

This is just a thought and is no way a fact. I just wanted to throw it out there and see what you guys think?

Back at the Eagles nest. Reid, Washburn and Castillo were eating lunch. Talking about the DC position. Man guys I really don't know what we are going do for the defensive coordinator position said Reid. Yea, Castillo stated, too bad we don't have another Offensive line coach that's a genius like my bad ass self. Reid not really paying attention. Tasting the cheese steak to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with it. What the hells the matter with you. It taste fine .Jesus Christ Washburn, Yelled Reid. Your time in Philly is done. You would have thought when I fired those green tea sippin, Pansy ass, strenght and conditioning trainers last year. People would get the hint. But not that Idiot. To top it off karlos Dansby will be gone at 12:01. Beyond the McNabb , Kolb thing that keeps going around. lets focus on the 2009 eagles and what happened. I'm Very proud of the eagles this year. Most teams that went through what the eagles gone through would have fell apart and been left for dead. Lets take a look at what I  mean. First lets look at the Offence. We let the strong hold of our O line walk. Jon Runyan and Tra Thomas. You can not replace these two warriors in a season.  They played with the eagles forever and know the system inside and out. Then Shawn Andrews didn't come back. I know big surprise there . But we never picked up a guy to replace the Pro Bowler Either. Kevin Curtis was Out. I know he hasn't been a fans Favorite but the guy produced plan and simple. Then there was Brian Westbrook , He's not what he once was to the team . But The guys a Vet and still has game.  Then you add in the Straw that broke the Camels back Jamaal Jackson and all the othe Injuries to the O line. Now what do you have? Let me tell yea what you have. You have Jason Peters Jumping off sides. Seemed very slow to get our system down after missing training camp. Plus he was  playing hurt most of the year. Then you have Winston Justice on the RT spot. I'm sorry no matter how much he improved from a few seasons ago. He's not Jon Runyan. Lesean McCoy a rookie coming out of the back field . Jeremy Maclin Another  rookie.  Jackson a second year guy. Plus Weaver, A guy that just joined the eagles this year. although all theese guys are very good. I could help but notice all the mis que's during the season. Hell the only Vets we had on the Offensive side of the ball that was worth a shit and not hurt was Jason Avant.

Now lets do our D.

First off we lost Brian Dawkins. Need I say more? Replaced by shawn Jones and Macho Harris. If you want to call that replaced. Sheldon wasn't the same guy after the hamstring injury. Steward bradley out for the season with his ACL. Ellis hobbs is gone due to a neck injury and Hanson decided to get suspended for four games for substance abuse. Not to mention all the other injuries that hit the whole D line. Plus we never picked up a Left DE. Hell, we couldn't close a pocket with a button.  Not to mention we lost a member of the eagles family this year. Loved by team and fans alike. The heart and soul of the Eagles D  "Jimmy Johnson"

Ok guys Im going to Shock everyone here and say a safety is not our most pressing need. Although it's worth talking about Later. I think  we have more pressing needs going into the draft or FA.

First off we need a DE in a  bad way. NO pressure on the QB." AT ALL"unless it was comming from  Trent Cole. This makes our CB's become Cover corners. We all know Brown and Samuels  are NOT cover guys. They are  ball jumpers, and there good at it.

The thing Im looking for here are BIG FAST guys. someone that can push to the qb. But on the same note. Play another position if he has too.  A real andy guy. My choice guy that fits this bill is .

DE Sergio Kingle He's also an OLB

They say he would be better at a 3-4 D

But i can t help the attitude he'd bring into Philly.
