Angels Offer to Beltre is 5 Years/$70 Million
"But the Angels' offer, believed to be in the five-year, $70-million range, has not been accepted, and it is not likely to be increased."
5/70 Seems pretty fair to me and I don't know if he is going to find anything better out there.
Buy A Piece of Angels Turf
For only $25 you can buy a 3 inch by 3 inch piece of the 2010 Angels Field. At least the proceeds are going towards the Angels Baseball Foundation.
Angels see "upside" of Van Mil
"He's still a work in progress," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "But he's got tremendous upside and growth -- which I guess seems a little ironic, to talk about a seven-footer with upside and growth."
Tyler Skaggs Officially the PTBNL in Haren Trade
I know we all knew this was coming but I just thought I would share.
Half Off Angels Tickets
Travelzoo Discount through the Angels website offers tickets for 50% or more off for weekend games through the remainder of the season
Still Tickets Available for HR Derby
In case anybody is interested there are still some seats left. I am not sure how many though.
"I don't know personally how a guy who leads the league in strikeouts and has a sub-3.00 ERA doesn't make it," teammate Joe Saunders told the Angels' official website. "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."

Angels Sign Center Fielder from D.R.
The Angels signed center fielder Luis Jolly, a raw but toolsy righthanded-hitter from the Dominican Republic, for $150,000. Jolly's best tool is his plus-plus speed and he has projectable power from his 6-foot-2 frame, though his hitting is still a work in progress.
Figgins on List Twice
On MLB.com there is a list of players and coaches for the Angels and Figgins appears on the list twice. Once as Born in Brandon, Florida and the second time as born in Leary, GA. Just a little interesting screw up.
Live Video Conference
The Sosh is talking right now, not sure who else is coming on.
Called Strikes Vs. Nick Green's Ball Four
Check out these photos of different pitches the Umpire called strikes earlier in the game, compared to the ball four on Nick Green.
Angels 2010 Options
What will the front office decide to do after this year? I know it is still early in the season but next off season will be interesting. Lackey, Vlad, Abreu, Escobar, and Figgins are all eligible to become free agents. What do you guys hope will be done with these guys? Who should we keep and who do we let walk?
Rangers Claim O'Day
Rangers picked up O'Day. I guess the Angels didn't have interest in paying the $25,000 to bring him back.
2009 Angels Best Season Ever
Not to sure if anyone else has put this up yet, but I found it pretty interesting. Hope you all do too. It breaks down our players from the perspective of the end of the 2009 season if everybody hits their best projected stats, with a quick overview of how the season went. 120 Wins sounds pretty nice to me :-)

Ben Sheets
Found this news item about pitcher Ben Sheets on mlbtraderumors.com
To all of you who were hoping for Ben Sheets to become an Angel, he is going to have elbow surgery and wont be available until this July or August.
So I am keeping my hopes up that Kelvim Escobar will come back around that time and comeback strong. Until then I can stand having a 5th starter of Mosely or Green.
