i do have to say in my mind, he IS a 12 - 15 min per game player.

I mean 95% of the time i'd rather have baron out there, seeing as we have baron. Telfair you know wants to start, but he just isnt a starter.

Clippers schedule is terrible

Does anyone notice that the nba must select the worst scheduling for clipper games.

I just noticed that they've played only 3 games between nov 30th and dec 12th... then play an absolutely brutal 7 games in 10 nights with the last 5 of those games on the road in 5 different cities? I mean is that insane, 5 games in 7 nights all on the road?

then you get the lakers, who get 18 home games, in the first 21 games. and dont have any thing absurd like 7 games in 10 nights on the road. I mean seriously everything is stacked against them. I would honestly hate to fly 6 times in 7 nights, let alone play a basketball game all those days.

that road trip honestly i think will be horrible. a few of the teams are "bad" but i think if they win 2 of that 5 game road trip i'd consider it good.

well a friend of mine who is a goldenstate warrior fan were talking and we started talking lottery. why not right, we've spent enough time talking about which of our teams is worse (and he agrees the warriors).

So i'm thinking if we get a mid lottery pick and not win the john wall sweepstakes, we could pick http://www.nbadraft.net/players/al-farouq-aminu Al Farouq Aminu. I know nothing about him , but it says he's versatile and long and a small forward. I've read he has a 7'2" wingspan and blocks shots too.

As for my warriors friend is thinking greg monroe for them, he's a big man and plays in a wierd offense and thinks he's a guard or small forward sometimes, so that totally fits. he's even left handed like most of their "bigs".

Yes this is sort of a joke post. But after tonight is it really?

I only noticed this because on the page before you hit play you can tell that is eric crashing into that scorers table.

That said he doesnt do much in this video, but he's #57 in white.

I was thinking about the trade exception and how the clippers might use it. I figure the smartest thing to do would be to target teams over the luxury tax who are financially not so sound, and take a player that is a 2009-2010 expiring contract off their hands.

On hoopshype.com this really leaves only a few teams that aren't in "we dont care about the luxury tax we'll do it to win" , and have players under the 7 million exemption. One of these is the hornets who are more or less ready to give tyson chandler away. That said they have 2 players on their team that if given to the clippers marcus camby style would save them double because they are in the tax, and would be useful to the clippers. I wonder if dunleavy is already thinking about this sort of things since he did it last year with camby.

Anyhow the hornets have Rasual butler and antonio daniels. I am not sure how much daniels has left in him, but he probably would be useful backup both guard spots. On top of that they have butler who is 6'7" and may or may not be small forward material. He at least shoots 3s better than al thornton and it looks like he can also play shooting guard. he makes nearly 4 million which would save the hornets 8 million. daniels would save them even more, and he's also be useful as a backup SG / pg and he definitely plays defense (he's like 34 though but i dont think he's "done").

Now I'm thinking the hornets would throw in a pick and say 3 million to have daniels taken off their hands just to not pay the luxury tax (even if they pay 3 million , they still save 9 million). Rasual butler is their starting SG so I am not sure how possible that is, then again they were ready to give away tyson chandler. I think rasual + hilton armstrong also fits for the exception (we'd have to waive some people) and thus gets new orleans just over the luxury tax threshold, plus maybe is enough to get butler...
