Mullin, Behind the scenes
quibble with his GM moves, but the man was S O L I D
Maybe now this article is relevant ;-]
Good news, FA can be signed soon! Bad news, it's a modest list overall and few of the top FA are likely Oaktown bound.
New Coach has friends with old problems ...
... do ya suppose it'll all blow over ?
Potential Coach, and Big Man?
check out the article for a dark horse candidate to replace Smart - has NBA credentials better than most other names being bantered about lately - and a tall long shot to keep an eye on
gotta look far and wide to keep hope alive sometimes
Prospects?
Are any of these guys the answer to any of our many pressing questions?
Is it the smart move to Re-sign Smart?
Smart's situation and a plug for MIP addressed in the CCT.
Maybe now we know why the Mayo trade rumors were ill founded
Seemed like there were calls for an OJ Mayo trade once a month hereabouts for about a year and a half. Now maybe we have found out why those rumors and hopes would have been a mistake had they been acted upon.
Ex-Warriors moving in and out of Nets' plans
Double-Double Dub is on the way out, to Morrow on the way in
Anthony Randolph begging for another change
By all appearances AR was happy to leave GSW for NY, now he's asking out. Of course Amare is cutting into the PF time, but if AR was all that he'd be getting some time alongside him. That makes two experienced coaches who failed to maximize AR's potential. Does this development affect how we should assess the Nelson-AR relationship?
Trainer on way out, next scapegoat please
undoubtedly Smart will be target but the reality is simple:
we need more, better players
Baron to Bobcats?
Would GSW dare to inquire? Would you want them to?!
Pierce a Warrior !
no, not THAT Pierce - Lloyd Pierce, our new asst coach.
Stat-lovers lap it up: is Bosh the reason for Heat's "Rash"?
An interesting analysis of the Miami Heat, spotlighting the contributions of Chirs Bosh, based upon some simple but revealing statistics.
Reading the Tea-leaves
Adam Lauridson suggests player and coaching moves, and non-moves, could be indicators of decisions already made but unspoken.
Just How SCREWED would the Cavs be if, you know ...
If LJ leaves, and both the team's centers could be gone in the wake - how bad would it be in Cleveland? People wouldn't likely jump off buildings but short of that nothing would surprise ... the author purports that Cavs could be strong playoff contenders whether or not King James is there ...
GSW extends 2; chooses to not tender 2 - meaning?
Oakland Tribue reported that we secured the right to match offers to Anthony Morrow and CJ Watson, while we did not tender qualifying offers to either Anthony Tolliver nor Chris Hunter.
Goodbye AT!
Hanging on to two low cost guards, Morrow ($1m) and Watson ($1.25m), rather than two low cost big men might suggest that if anyone with a large contract is still to be moved it would be Monta Ellis, rather than Andris (Yahoo! Sports had reported a couple days ago that GSW was looking to move Biedrins).
It's curious that we didn't hang on to one or the other of the big men as cheap insurance since both AR & BWright are coming off injuries and Udoh is unproven, at best.
It's also curious that GS chose to retain Watson, after last summer's dealings it was pretty clear he wanted a fresh start elsewhere (Magic) and returned only because he had no choice. A malcontent in the mix would not seem to be the best ingredient on the bench.
Kerr out - headed where?
Link takes you to Suns' SBN site.
Any hint (or interest?) that Kerr ends up in an arena near you?

Three playoff observations & a question
As Jackson made his way back from hyperextending his knee during the second quarter, perhaps he was playing a bit of possum? His first drive in the third quarter, he blasted past the defender on the way to the hoop and generally played very strong during the second half against the Magic. While it was surprising that VC and Howard's foul trouble didn't hamper Orlando more than it did, it was even more surprising that Jax wasn't on the floor in the crucial last few minutes of the fourth quarter. Wonder what coach Brown knew that we didn't?

The Spurs have been holding Duncan back all year, not playing him on back to backs and keeping his minutes under wraps to keep him fresh for the playoffs, yet he seems sluggish. Parker missed lot's of time with an injured hand but is now healthy - yet Coach Pop chose not to start Parker, instead bringing him in off the bench. Wonder what Pop is seeing that we don't?

Dallas made a big trade midseason that netted them Hayward and Butler to form a deep and formidable roster with Dirk, Kidd, and Marion. Yet in the playoffs the Mavs start Dampier at C rather than the obviously more athletic and effective Haywood. What would be the advantage gained there?
Q to fellow Dubsfans: Just curious, which playoff roster (either Eastern or Western) would you NOT trade our roster for? Assuming both rosters were healthy, is there a roster in the second season that you would rather not trade ours for straight up?
Happy Birthday Gilbert
wonder what would have happened if a fan had brought a gun to a game?
Ellis to become GSW third option?
inside this article: George expects to contribute on the floor, and Ellis will be passed as option #1 by not one but two young'ns
It's August so it's time for Western Conference Predictions - ?
one columnist's predictions in early August mean little, but might mean more than that to some looking around the 7-8th spot ... jury's still out obviously but who knows, stranger things have happened
We're tired of hearing about it already!
I am awed by the obvious amount of work and analysis FLAxwless put into his An In-Depth Study: Don Nelson Doesn't Play Rookies post. In the same vein of myth-busting, a category of posts started earlier this summer IIRC, I’m challenging you to provide some evidence for a this Myth: the JRich trade was made to re-sign Monta and Andris.
Once and for all, I’m trying to put the JRich trade & consequences into context so as not to allow revisionism to change our perception of what happened, and more to the point not allow revisionism to impact our assessment of the FO currently. Convince me I’m wrong, and I’ll gladly get off it. But please hear me out first (in other words, at least read the post through!). Then bring the heat, with some links or evidence!

Can you explain THIS?
Hakim Warrick signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. rather than the Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers and Charlotte Bobcats.
huh?
Could current and former Warriors be OVER-rated?!
nah, not our boys, not our lads past and present!
take a mental guess of:
1) which current warrior YOU think is over-rated
2) which recently traded warrior is over-rated
(what?! they all don't IMPROVE once traded?!)
Mullin staying Mum?
Matt S tried to pull the curtain back to peek behind the scenes of GSW front office ...
