Short article on Ville Leino and Holmgren apparently being a good GM.

Broad Street Hockey Could d3o change the game?

For those of you who are not aware of it's existence, d3o is a new material being developed for impact protection. It is super lightweight, and malleable, so it would be a perfect fit for the many different pads designed for hockey players.

Imagine Kimmo Timonen dropping down to block a Zdeno Charaslapshot, getting hit in the shins (or a worse place) and not even flinching.

After the jump I will post some more links to youtube vidoes, why this product should be directly applied to hockey, and why the league needs to start investing in this product sooner rather than later.

....."what's up with that?"

That is because the front office is always looking to win the Cup, and is rarely (if ever) looking to win draft picks like our same state rivals. Just like every other Flyers fan, beat reporter, and blogger in SB Nation, Bleacher Report and so on, I believe this is: "The Year."

After the Jump I will state my opinions on why.
