I just want to say thanks to the creators and moderators of this fine online institution.  The football season may have been disappointing, but BHGP never is.  I really enjoy this online community.  I can count on great insights as well as hilarious comments from both the lay-folk and the pros alike.  I enjoy knowing that other people are celebrating or cursing along with me with each passing down.  I am even looking forward to the basketball season...why?  BHGP is FRANtastic.  Thank you for creating and maintaining this place!

ESPN is reporting that Kirk Ferentz will be in Iowa City through 2020.  This means that we have atleast that many more years of NFL rumors.  Hooray! 2020 seems like a LONG ways off...but just think of how many Big Ten (XII) Northwest Divisional championships we'll have at that point times we'll have been fisted by the Big Ten (XII) Southwest Division by then!!!

Not that this wouldn't happen in the Big ten-twelve...but I love it when a mortal enemy gets a black eye.  Plus, when it happens here its one of our players.  What really gets me is not so much that he was DUI (which is absolutely asinine and abhorrent) but equally that he tried to parlay his position as head bulldog into a get out of jail free card. 

Please tell me we'll have a series involving "sexy officer" and Damon "DUI" Evans!  Oh wait...sexy officer is now in custody after being found out as an international commie spy.  Shagadelic!

Pete from Cinci whines about the recurrent (and correct) statement that Iowa/Ferentz does "more with less" than pretty much anyone else in the Big Ten and wishes his program could have a hip "overachiever" tag applied to it, too.  It does suck being the (nearly) perpetual loser in the [name Big Ten's biggest bowl of the year] bowl...but you're OSU so you really don't have much to cry about.  You've set up an owners box in the yearly top ten recruiting class rankings.  You consistently send 7+ players to the NFL.  You have a stadium that holds 110000 people.  Your coach wears a sweater vest.  You get to dot the "i"...get over it!

At least Rittenberg finds a nice way to tell Pete to shut his filthy Cinci cake hole.  I would have made reference to a "Cincinnati Steamer" in my reply...  Enjoy!
