Question: Tim - You rock man! In your opinion who has been the toughest batter you have faced so far this year? Answer: Shin Soo-Choo, because you can't ever tell whether he'll be sitting fastball, curveball. he swings at every first pitch, so you can't throw him a perfect pitch. But you can't throw one out of the strike zone and fall behind. Hits to all parts of the fields, is aggressive. It's like he sits every pitch and every count. It's ridiculous. Wow. Great answer. And great look into a pitcher's mind against a tough hitter. Taken from live chat with Tim Collins.

Team Owners Object to MLB's New Run-Sharing Agreement

Success for the Royals should be measured by how many Onion articles they appear in as the butt of a joke. Not really... these people are funny, but they've never been accused of being very knowledgeable/aware.

Wait until you get to the part where Matthew Berry decides who gets more wins: Hochevar or Francis? I love it.

Bob Fescoe discusses the Royals on local television. Among other things, team speed is emphasized as well as what to expect from Frenchy. All I can say is "Seriously?"

Gary Sheffield retires from baseball

There's some talk in here about Sheffield's HoF ambitions. Wanted to see what some of you thought. I've always liked him as a player. Career slash: 292/393/514. wOBA of .392. He's got the counting numbers. His defense wasn't good, but his UZR is all over the place. I wish we had UZR on his Marlins years because I think in his prime he was an average fielder.

C Jason Kendall: A solid season was cut short by right shoulder surgery in September. Not expected back until May or maybe June, he'll be straining to beat that. No question he's valuable to the pitching staff.

Rany's take on Pods trade

"Similar to the Alberto Callaspo trade, while I’m a little disappointed in the specifics of the trade, the fact that the trade was made at all means that Dayton Moore is – finally – doing his job."
