If nothing else, these Q & A's at least teach us that these guys are taught early on in the organization how to say all the right things... JR: Statistically speaking, about the only area in which you struggled at times last season was in the strikeouts department. What do you have to do going forward to decrease those totals? RK: I think you have to understand what pitches you can and cannot swing at. You have to look and find your pitch and if you don’t get it, then there’s no reason to swing at it until you get to two strikes. I’ve worked a lot this offseason and watched a lot of film. I’ve been swinging the bat a lot and working on my mechanics to clean some stuff up. I’m looking forward to the spring.
"Late last season, when Molina's departure from the Giants through free agency seemed certain, some observers wondered whether he ranked as the club's top catcher since the franchise moved West in 1958. Most people who support Molina probably were born before or shortly after that year. Fans of more recent vintage lament Molina's low on-base percentage (.302 during his three Giants seasons) and his tendency to swing at the first pitch. Others view Molina's lack of speed and simply slap their foreheads in exasperation. But, excluding intangibles and considering just the most basic statistics, Molina is San Francisco's most productive catcher, on a per-season basis. And the one-year, $4.5 million deal he recently agreed upon will give him a chance to strengthen his status in club annals." Talk amongst yourselves.
Yay for Neal love! "3. Giants: San Francisco has two elite talents in catcher Buster Posey and left-hander Madison Bumgarner, both of whom should contribute to the major league club in 2010. The Giants also have depth, despite the uncertain status of slugger Angel Villalona, who was stripped of his U.S. visa after an off-season murder charge in his native Dominican Republic. San Francisco has shortstop options, some solid bats (such as outfielder Thomas Neal) and solid depth, but it's really about the stars."
Interest in Uggla ... at third base — 10:51 a.m. The two teams showing the most interest in Marlins second baseman Dan Uggla would move him to third base. The Giants and Orioles are the clubs in strongest pursuit of Uggla, according to major-league sources. The Red Sox also have inquired, envisioning Uggla as a potential replacement for free agent Jason Bay in left field. Uggla, 29, projects to earn approximately $8 million in arbitration. But in four major-league seasons, he has averaged 30 homers and 90 RBIs. For the Giants, he would represent a more affordable addition than Bay or Matt Holliday. The Giants would play Uggla at third, Edgar Renteria at shortstop, Freddy Sanchez at second and Pablo Sandoval at first.
#redsox are believed willing to pay jason bay close to $15 million a year for 4 yrs. see giants, maybe mets, bidding more

I think it would be fun to show pictures in Giants gear of yourself from around the world.
I was out in section 140 last night (between CF and LF in the bleachers) and snapped some pictures of the game. It was my first time using the camera (Canon sx10 IS), so some were a bit blurry...
I'm ready to start p90x on Monday. I read through all the previous p90x fanshots and comments and whatnot and was wondering if anyone else has anything to say about the workouts. Is anyone else...
I was so inspired by jctGamer's video that I decided to make a video of my own.
Fangraphs looks at Zito's numbers depending on who is catching him.
Yo everyone, I've had this idea for a little while, and want to know what all of your thoughts are on this.
A song leaked from our very own Barry Zito. Click the above link and have a listen.
I originally wrote this for my website over at http://www.mikeheimowitz.com but thought I should post it here too. I'm a huge Giants fan living in LA, but this is a general article about...
