Hello Second City Hockey!

I just joined the blog this morning, and decided to introduce myself. I am a relatively new Hawks fan. Before last year, I had been a Blues fan my entire life. This was mostly due to the lack of exposure to the Hawk and with living in Central Illinois, the Blues were always on FSN MW and the Peoria Rivermen are close by. I am a HUGE Cubs fan and a big Bears fan (I enjoy football to pass time between baseball seasons) and I felt odd having 2/3 of my favorite teams being in Chicago and the other in hated St. Louis. 

So at the beginning of the 08-09 season, after moving back to central illinois from going to school at SIUE, I approached the season with an open mind. I was gonna watch the Hawks and Blues, and see who I began to side with. It didn't take long before the Hawk's young talent, Chicago Traditions, and really good hockey won me over. Being a traditionalist Cubs fan, I associated so much more easily with this fanbase, and I'm glad I'm here. 

I played puck from Mini-mites to high school before blowing out my knee so I know a lot about the game, but I look forward to learning more about the team, organization, and fans by being on SCH. If it's anything like BleedCubbieBlue, I know i will!
