So what about trading VY to Denver? They seem to be one of the few teams in the league we've gotten things done with in the past (though that was probably due to the Shanahan/Fisher connection). Would VY command Brandon Marshall and Orton? I think it would be hilarious if Simms returned to Tennessee.
It seems like any Titans trade has a likelihood approaching zero. But I want to see VY in a different area code. An area code where the game plan is a little more improvised. I think everyone wants to see him somewhere else. And if Bud Adams can look good in the process, so much the better (and I think he'd consider himself Mensa if he could add Marshall and draft Colt McCoy next year). On paper, this trade seems to make a lot of sense. What are the opinions of the SB Nation? The timing of this seems critical as Vick is about to be reinstated with a 4 game suspension tacked on.
Any chance it gets done?
Can you think of a better scenario for VY (or Marshall, as I'd like to see Denver fans' reactions too)?
Two Cents
$0.01- "Crazy Legs" is a name unbecoming of such a fantastic player.
$0.02- Can we now finally admit that playing Kerry Collins over VY was one of the silliest moves in coaching history. Lesson learned: offense has to come from somewhere. CJ made defenses play on their heels. What happens when he's out of the lineup and Kerry is working with last year's weapons...well, the second half happens. Our D played insanely well, but the paucity of Offensive weapons ended our season. Draft a burner. Spread the field. Scare the D. Let VY be the best player in the NFL. Does anyone really want to bet against that man?
