There seems to be a fight or two per event with a judges' decision that even Joseph Goebbels couldn't justify.

One of those fights was UFC Live: Sanchez Vs. Kampmann on March 3, 2011. The Internet, the collective critics of MMA judges, expressed a consensus that just because Diego Sanchez "won" that fight doesn't mean Diego Sanchez won that fight.

Today, the day after the recent UFC on Fuel TV: Silva Vs. Stann, every MMA website has a news article and lengthy comments section / forum discussion once again affirming: just because Diego Sanchez "won" that fight doesn't mean Diego Sanchez won that fight.

So, what does the UFC do when commissions around the world simply don't understand the sport that they're scoring? My suggestion: Cut Diego Sanchez from the UFC.

Since his appearance on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, Sanchez's "stop kidding yourself" factor has only increased, from collecting lightening storm energy as if he were Nicola Tesla, to repeatedly screaming "YES!" on his way into the cage, to the 180 degree nickname flip flop from "Nightmare" to "Dream". Do self-given nicknames even count?

The UFC knows MMA has a judging problem, and it's certainly no secret to the rest of us either. The MMA community also knows that although Diego Sanchez is 2-1 in his last three fights, according to the sport's sanctioning bodies, in reality, he is 0-3 in his last three fights.

Cutting Diego Sanchez would serve two very important symbolic functions. First, it would release a highly paid fighter who has been underachieving as of late, making some room in the budget and on the roster for a few up-and-comers, just like the Jon Fitch cut did. Second, it would acknowledge that he is 0-3 in his last three fights, according to the fans and media (except MMA Fighting's Mike Chiapetta, who's moderate tone regarding the Sanchez/Gomi fight is completely defied in the comments section below. In other words, it would be a business decision that acknowledges the reffing problem.

Sanchez is 0-3 in his last three fights, right? Let's keep it real here, good people of MMA Fighting.
