Redskins' Zorn won't babysit Thomas
Not good news. Zorn is clearly getting fed up with Thomas' lackadaisical attitude.

Songaila to the Hornets
Interesting that NO is willing to take on Songaila's salary after they tried to get rid of Chandler for expirings last year.

Caron Butler for Amar'e Stoudemire
I love Caron Butler but the way this team is built now, we have little to no front court depth. Those who believe we have a shot at a championship or even the ECF are somewhat delusional. In history and especially throughout this decade, no team has won a championship without a dominant big-man except for the Pistons who overachieved. Caron Butler does a lot of great things for this team but right now our backup PF/Cers are dray and Javale McGee. This won't cut it, especially in the playoffs and should either Antawn or Brendan go down we'd be in a world of trouble.
My proposal is to trade Caron Butler, Mike James, and Nick Young for Amar'e Stoudemire. This is the most talent they can get for Amar'e and maybe we'd be overpaying a little. We could possibly switch NY out for Cirttenton but I'm not sure if they would go for it. Anyway, our lineup would be the following:
PG: Arenas/Crittenton/Foye
SG: Foye/Miller/Mcguire
SF: Miller/Mcguire
PF: Stoudemire/AJ/Blatche or Javale depending on progress
C: Haywood/Stoudemire/Blatche or Javale depending on progress
This would clear up the logjam we have in the backcourt with Mike Miller getting the majority of SF minutes and sharing them with Dominic Mcguire. Antawn Jamison would come off the bench as a sixth man and Stoudemire could log minutes at the PF and Center position. Jamison could even play a little SF with Caron at the 2 to get all our best players on the court. I'm not sure if this lineup is championship calibur and maybe more moves would be needed, but I think it has some potential. We could always sign someone like Zaza or Drew Gooden for the MLE and I'd be happy.

"Gilbert Arenas is the worst person on earth," Tony Kornheiser said on today's episode of the On the DL podcast. "He's a coach killer and a team killer. He's a team killer, Gilbert Arenas. He got Eddie Jordan fired. He didn't play."
DC Sports Bog. Kornheiser is a punk. Are you kidding me with this?

For Cincyboy
Pretty cool Chris Cooley Interview. My favorite part? Glad you asked. This ones for you cincyboy:
SI.com: It was just announced that the Bengals are going to be featured on Hard Knocks. Thoughts?
Cooley: Seriously? Well, they're usually the highest crime-rate team in the NFL, so they'll have plenty of characters to choose from and they could have plenty of drama.

Skins Sign Chase Daniel, Maryland Lineman
Interesting. I guess Zorn wasn't lying when he said he wanted 4 QBs at training camp.

Agent confident Rubio to stay in draft
I guess that settles it. I'm going to be so mad if we get the #3 pick.

Jonh Wall Eligible for 2009 Draft?
I was reading the Chad Ford chat today and was surprised when I saw this regarding John Wall:
"SportsNation Chad Ford: He was awesome and he'll compete with Ed Davis and a few other freshmen for that. However, there is some buzz that Wall believes he might be eligible for THIS year's draft. I've been doing some digging and will be filing a story later today. The short rub is this: Wall is a 5th year senior and depending on how you read the collective bargaining agreement, 5th year seniors are eligible for the draft as long as the turn 19 in the calander year (Wall does). The league is taking a wait and see approach. If he declares, they'll research and make a ruling. If he does declare and is ruled eligible (two big ifs) he's a Top 5 pick in this draft. Maybe Top 3."
We're picking top 4 this year and assuming we don't get Blake Griffin or Rubio, this will have a huge impact on whether we trade down or not. I watched John Wall at the Nike Hoop Summit and he was unbelievable. Your thoughts?
