Just underway is Carlos Pimentel's 13th start of the year. Mike Bianucci is back in the lineup, Cristian Santana isn't.

Meantime Tommy Hunter's OKC start is in the 4th. He's having a rough go, but see for yourself. He has registered a perfect 9-0 G-F ratio.

Later tonight Bleier goes for Bakersfield, and Michael Kirkman starts for the RoughRiders.

We typically wouldn't flash draft signings past the first round, but this one seemed meaningful enough to send out an alert: sixth-rounder Ruben Sierra Jr. has already decided to get his pro career underway, signing with the Rangers just two days after the club drafted him.

Kenny Gomez has the early start for BAK, 1pm today.

Martin Perez and Jacob Brigham go at 6p.

Omar Poveda starts for Frisco at 7.

Omar over the years:

As soon as he left Clinton, he started walking guys. And then his K rate disappeared in Frisco. Still a pretty small sample.

Anyway his May has gone well, with some unsightly peripherals: 19 IP, 2.37 ERA , 10:7 K:BB.

Scouts love the change and he's got a big pitcher frame. Here's hoping the peripherals tune up.
