Bulls Cut Ties with Lead Assistant Coach Ron Adams

69

According to the story, the decision was made by Forman and not Thibodeau. Which makes me think this isn't a good thing.

ESPN says Kyrie Irving will be the best PG in the NBA in 2015

Lead story at this link and the 5-on-5 in which no one picks Rose is here. Presumably we can now engage in a heated discussion about ESPN hype always looking for a new target. But, in fairness,...

Haugh: Prudent Bulls plan to win title in 2015

I don't even know what to say. We've gone from "treading water" one year to waiting till 2015 to compete. Impressive use of media by the org?

SBNation: "The Chicago Bulls' championship window may have closed once Derrick Rose tore his ACL"

[Yanked out this comment into its own FanPost because I really liked Mike Prada's article at the mothership -yfbb] Is a line from this story and I think it’s true. The Bulls aren’t going win a damn...

ESPN's Chris Singleton says the White Sox should think about selling

8

He mentions this would be a time they could move Rios and Peavy for younger, cheaper players. In fairness, he does say they'll wait 3 weeks and see where they are in the standings. I'd enjoy that about as much as Keith Law being named the new GM of the Sox.

Eliot Asinof, author of "Eight Men Out", dies at age 88

The guy could write -- Eight Men Out is an excellent book. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the history of baseball.

mlbtraderumors says the Sox looking at Jason Castro at #8 in the draft

I'd be unthrilled with another overdraft of a "solid" Stanford catcher. It's from a Keith Law ESPN Insider article -- maybe someone with access can comment further.

If Robinson Tejeda can clear wiavers, so can Nick Masset

+

So Texas managed to get Robinson Tejeda through waivers and down to AAA. He's a year older than Masset, and Bad but slightly (?) better than Masset. Tejeda is also supposedly in possession of a 95 MPH fastball -- perhaps using the same gun that timed Masset. But Tejeda's rep as having a live arm is still intact while I would have to think Masset's is shattered by not topping 92 over the last year. Anyway, I would think Masset could make it down to AAA. Although I suppose I could see trying get Cooper to get Masset hot enough to trade...but it's seems silly to waste big league innings on such an unlikely event. I'd rather see Broadway put in that role if the Sox really need someone to pitch 3 bad innings.
