Looks like Erick Threets got picked up this week, by all teams, the Dodgers! Looks like we also don't have G-Rod anymore, who signed with the Orioles.

Hopefully this doesn't get deleted like my last post, but Baggarly posted on his blog that Posey is unofficially signed for a major league contract of $7.5 million, which was $1.5 million more than Matt Wieters. I wonder if it will be announced soon or if it will be done late, since that contract is well over slot. Looks like everyone is locked up. Hopefully Sabean doesn't screw up the rookies developments like he has this year.

Long time lurker but first time poster. This place is great and I come here every morning to read the Minor Lines.

About a week ago I was explaining to my wife why I always walked away from the TV or why I would be yelling whenever Jose Castillo came up to bat. I remember back in the Spring there were a number of people who were begging for Dallas McPherson to be signed (and I was one of them, just not here on MC). Not sure if you guys have seen his stats this year, but he is hitting .297/.406/.682 with an OPS of 1.088. He has 32 HRs in 86 games, and he homered in 7 straight games recently. He still strikes out a ton (every 2.72 ABs) and I know that the ballpark that he plays in is a ridiculous hitters park, but he is on pace for almost 60 HR if he keeps up this pace. It's possible he's nothing more than a AAAA player, but compared to our possible AAAA player (Schierholtz), I'd take McPherson's numbers everyday.
