Long hair and

A Viking wore long hair as a dare to his opponent.  NFL players also wear long hair, apparently to look bad-ass.  That long hair is a handle for the enemy to grab, as soldiers have known from the...

KC's Gettin' Some Love on NFLN

All 3 guys on Playbook AFC picked KC to beat the Browns. Then on Total Access, Joe Theisman did a nice piece on KC's textbook blocking, featuring Lilja on Jamaal's TD run.

More Mills Mulling: O-Line

Why does everyone automatically think Lilja will be playing right guard?  He's built like a LG and he's a long-time starting LG.  Is it likely KC sees Lilja and Waters as a 1-2 punch at LG?  What...

Who stays? (Missing persons added)

We now have a plethora of DBs. Who stays? Who leaves? Author's note:  I tried to pick up all the spares.  Jarrad Page doesn't show up on the KC roster, still, but could grab him from a general...

Do these picks make sense, and how will this play out?

Here we make some general observations and draw some modest conclusions.  The main observation is that speed in the d-backfield has changed significantly, with emphasis on football IQ.  This was...

Jamaal had a chance to break the record if he could break a big run, but he wasn’t in the game any longer. Charles’ day was over. As it turns out, Charles was the one who decided to end his day and a shot at the all-time record. "I really didn’t want to get it because I want to get it when I’m in the game and it’s competing time," Charles explained. "People give up at that time and don’t really care. I could have gone back in game, but I told coach that I was satisfied and that I’d get it some other time."

Looks like they're turning the corner in some key areas.

Some observations. More of an extended comment. But I make enough extended comments, I'm entitled to a Post, once a month or so.

This mayn't be appropriate, but I'm going "to jail" and need "bail money" to get out. This is for Muscular Dystrophy. Bail is set at $1600, an arbitrary and rather steep price, considering my angelic behavior and law-abiding nature. But as many of you guys, here are among my best friends, I thought it worth a shot to send out a shout.

Disbelief no Longer Suspended.

"I don’t know if anybody knows this but we created extra meeting rooms. This building is a beautiful building but one thing that was limited was some meeting space. We turned rooms into meeting rooms for that reason, so these guys could be here instead of at home watching a DVD. We’re getting groups of guys working together on their own without a coach present and those are good signs. Those are what I’m talking about when I say more guys are getting it. When you have guys that get it you have a chance." It's this kind of thinking that I like. Haley understands the difference between it being about him and the players, themselves, owning the knowledge.
