WOOO HOOO!!

I am EXCITED that we are going to a BCS bowl game, and as many of you said before, this team surprised ALOT of people. It really sucks to see our biggest rival taking the spot that was supposed to be ours, but I am really proud of how this team performed this season.

However, I wanted to focus on what Mack should do this offseason and the next season. Over the years, Mack has displayed great sportsmanship (by not running up scores like Big Choke Bob) and has always portrayed himself as a nice southern gentleman who runs a GREAT program.

But, this season, some of the actions by Big 12 coaches showed that they are not too fond of Mack Brown. I remember Ron Prince calling Texas "the Yankees" or "the Redsox" of College football, and also, Mack brown got snubbed out of COTY while Stoops and Leach shared.

So my point is, should Mack keep up this nice image? I believe (or would like to) Mack has changed a bit since last season after A&M loss. Bringing Muschamp and Major was one of the best decisions he has ever made since recruiting VY.

I would like to see Mack to be pissed off about how things have gone toward end of the season and coach his team with some fire and embarass other schools next year...especially against OU and Tech....God I hate Tech

What a great game!! I cant seem to wipe this biiiig ass smile off of my face..I shall dress up all BURNT ORANGE tomorrow and piss off my aggie/OU classmates

• Shipley and Quan had respective career games. But I wonder how they were so effective against OU's secondary. I noticed that OU played lots of zone, and only brought front 4 (or sometimes 3 and drop one) while shading Colt w/ a LB. Maybe they lacked good man coverage corners?
  
• We still need a reliable 3rd WR. About 80%-90% of the passes are thrown to Shipley and Quan, and they were taking some punishing hits in the middle. I am not sure if these guys (both about 6-0 and 190 lbs) can take this kind of pounding for the rest of the season. Collins and Kirkendoll had pretty good games, but I feel like Colt hasnt developed enough chemistry to these guys. 
• This makes me wonder what if teams start double covering our main receivers. When shipley and quan were covered, the play usually resulted in Colt getting sacked...(I think twice in a row)
• It seems like Buckner is still struggling to learn routes (not so much in this game, but in CU game)
• I think defense is playing great. But we need to play better against bubble screens/WR screens. I dont know if the OU OLs were a huge reason for their success, but the teams we face in the remainder of season are certainly capable of executing good screens (i.e. Missouri)

Finally the NFL season is here!!

Any of you guys watching NFL games today?

I am curious to see how Vince fares against Jacksonville. If you can give me updates on that game that would be great. I am stuck with Steelers and Texans game instead in College Station....MAN, this town is laaaaame. I guess I have to settle for watching Limas Sweed..

I hope Vince quiets his critics by scoring some touchdowns...I know he didn't exactly have a great preseason...

ESPN reports a possible violation of O.J. Mayo accepting money, a flat screen TV, clothes, etc.

What Tim Floyd and USC said about this incident is flat out hilarious...First, they claim  that Mayo is a poor kid from Virginia (to borrow Pat Forde's words, a misunderstood eagle scout!!) who couldnt even afford a large cell phone bill. Yet, when Mayo received a TV, clothes, and other stuff, they didn't know such practices was going on.

First, Bush then mayo. It seems denying about every wrong doing is the policy of USC athletics and USC should change its motto to "Deny on!!"

Only if Robert Killbrew spent more time watching game films and learning from his mistackles, bad angles he took, and his ridiculously invisible presence on the field rather than cooking up tacos and chips on texassports.com....sometimes it is dearly painful to watch him play..

We all heard about the story of a UT fan going to a Norman Bar and getting his testicles ripped off by an Okie. But did you hear what the Okie's lawyer said about the incident?

Beckett's attorney, Billy Bock, said his client's actions were in self-defense.

"Sure, he's an OU fan. Not necessarily an overboard die-hard OU fan, but he certainly admits he said something in a joking fashion to the guy about his Texas T-shirt. The guy got offended. He said he was sorry," said Bock.

Bock said the apology apparently wasn't enough for the Texas fan and the man then approached his client. He said his client then grabbed the man in self-defense.

So this lawyer's argument is that his client grabbed another man's balls in self-defense???
I am no lawyer, but wtf???

Come on guys...lets be realistic. Unless we go 7-6 this season, Mack is still our Coach and Greg Davis is still the OC.

I was working out at the Greg and was watching some good ole sports center. Then I came across Kirk Herbstreit answering some questions. He and 83% of the nation think we are the most overrated top 10 team.

I personally thought offense played not too bad against UCF. There were several 10+ play drives that ate up a lot of time, and GD attempted to utilize JC's explosiveness. I admit the red zone offense was pathetic, but there were many unfavorable factors in that game such as the weather (offense seemed a bit tired during the first drive), rain, wetballs etc...

How is it possible to get an offensive pass interference when the pass ends up like 30 yards from the receiver?

When UT received 3 Offensive pass interference in a row, which killed our best drive of the first half, I was going crazy cuz I didnt understand what the hell was going on..
That has to be a some kind of record...3 offensive pass interferences in a row...

There were like a crap load of bad calls that night...referee crew totally sucked ass
