Vaccaro: "DKR not loud."

Kenny Vaccaro shared his feelings on going on the road. Said he likes it more, because it's easier to get hyped up for, which I can see from my highschool days. He even lists Kyle Field as a prime example of a loud home field.

None of this I have contention with. I don't know a lot of Longhorn fans that have 'small man syndrome', and having being to a handful of games after getting out of the military, I was surprised how tame DKR can get.

If anything, it's refreshing to have a player tell it exactly as they see it. Something we all like Kenny Vaccaro for, I would hope. (His 'heads out of magazines' was refreshingly candid.)

My only problem? The Big 12 blogger mentions the story here, and especially the line: "Ha. I love players speaking their mind, and everything Vaccaro said is the truth. That said, it's not exactly going to endear him to the Longhorns fan base."

He thinks we're going to turn on Kenny Vaccaro for telling the truth?...really? (If I have any complaint with Vaccaro, it's for not letting us call him by a fitting, cool, nickname. Although 'Hellboy' made me forget this dissapointment pretty quickly.)

This leads me to posting this here, in hopes of getting actual responses from other Horn fans: does this bother any of you? Should it bother me?

Thanks, and Hook 'Em.

Ricky Seals-Jones/Eric Dickerson

Saw something interesting on local Houston news last night. Not sure if anyone else caught it, but Sealy Highschool had a dedication for Eric Dickerson. I wasn't aware of a family relation between Dickerson and Seals-Jones, but I suppose I'm not surprised. The local news asked Dickerson if he had any recruiting advice for Seals-Jones, and after saying he was sure Seals-Jones would make a good decision, Dickerson went on to say 'if he picked Texas, I'd go to the games and support him.' Or something to that effect.

Just struck me as possibly significant and wanted to share.
