I just saw THIS ARTICLE on the front page of Yahoo.com. It turns out, more people in the nation (and the media) are on our side than we thought...

He makes a very interesting point, though. If "elite" programs are so sure of themselves and so sure that we wouldn't be able to do a thing in their conference, why won't they play us and prove it? Dan Wetzel suggests collusion; I think it's cowardice. These teams know that they can ride a crappy non-conference schedule to the National Championship Game (see Florida, 2009), so what incentive do they have? They all saw what we did to Oregon on national television - are they too afraid to suffer the same fate?

I just can't believe that no team will answer the call. We're giving them home-field advantage, for crying out loud! It's one game, one time, and they even get to play it at home? And it nationally televised!! What's the problem here???

Well, now it looks like people are starting to call them out. Will they answer, or will they continue to hide in the corner under their big BCS blanket?

According to reliever Rich Thompson, Sean Rodriguez is on his way to Tampa to complete the trade for new Angels' lefty Scott Kazmir.

This is from Thompson's twitter account -

"Sad to see Sean Rodriguez heading to Tampa Bay, good luck to him he is an exciting player".

Good-bye, S-Rod. We hardly knew ye.

Sean is a very exciting player, and one the Angels could've had around for a long time, but it remains to be seen whether or not he can adjust to Major League pitching. If he can, and does succeed, this trade swings in the favor of Tampa. If he doesn't fix his swing and ends up a mediocre player, I still think we got the better deal. How about you all?

Problem 1 - "Anaheim Angels". When did we change the name of the team again? 4 effing years ago! Get with it, Stark.

Problem 2 - Brandon Webb not only amazingly recovered from his shoulder injury, but he was also traded to the Angels and converted into a SS without anybody noticing! Oh Ninja Reagins... you wily dog....

The Angels have signed first-round power-hitting prospect Randal Grichuk, according to the OCR's Angels blog. He signed for a $1.225MM bonus.

Here's hoping Grichuk performs well, and is up here real soon!

Peter Gammons has a small article up on the Halos... he mentions several young players by name, including Wood, Morales and Kendrick. Oddly enough, Erick Aybar was not mentioned once.
