Report: George Karl Offered Extension
link:
http://nba.fanhouse.com/2009/12/22/nuggets-make-multiyear-offer-to-george-karl/
Basically Chris Tomasson reports that the nuggets have made a multi year offer to karl (around 3 mil per year)... if he doesnt except it, i doubt that he will be with us next year. Also, i tend to think that kroenke/ the front office is panicking a bit after the two loses, they might be on to something tho, in the off season i think it was andrew or nate (mayb some1 else) wrote about karls impending free agency being a distraction to the team and potentially allow them to not listen to him, it could be right last couple of lose i blame the coach, but it could also be interperted that the players didnt listen to the coach. as of right now, i think giving karl an extension (assuming he accepts) help us this year, because we will focus more and listen to the coach, but idk if i want gk our coach in 3 years.

Way To Get Haywood
okay so to compete with the lakers size, we r gna need big body to throw at them for like 20 minutes. Names like JEff Foster, Joel Pryzbilla, and Brendan Haywood all fit. The latter is on an expirer and his team is looking to blow up. The one problem is he makes 6 mil, and denver cant match that with out giving up a rotation player, thats why i propose we involve GSW.
this is my proposal
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ykc7uln
its pretty much
DEN gives a bunch of Minimum Salary guys (AC, Petro, Allen **afflalo is in there only cuz it wont let me trade graham yet, but that changes soon) (which we could sign more of) and Balkman (possibly a second or if we can a first) GSW gives CJ watson, claxon, george, randolph WAS gives Haywood and Butler
DEN gets CJ Watson And Brendan Haywood GSW gets Caron Butler, PEtro and Graham (and mayb a pick from Denver) WAS gets A Randolph, AC, Balkman, Allen, Claxton and George
Why do they do it? DEN: Get a big body with a good contract for mostly scrubs.... also throw a young promising PG in watson GSW: get Butler who was mentioned (along w amare adn boozer) as one of the guys they want for randolph and PEtro (just as good as moore) and they could use a high energy guy in graham WAS: Get a future star in Randolph (who is cheap also), Balkman would find some minutes, and the rest of the contracts expire, which help them financially; also with randolph, they could really have a good 3 pt line up with like arenas foye miller jamison randolph
Why dont they do it? DEN: Get a starting capable Center on the bench for next to nothing GSW: get a SF that they really like WAS: dumps butlers longer contract for expierers and young talent in randolph
EDIT: i just want to say there is another version of this trade that is plausible; it pertains in us getting nick young (not getting watson), the wizards getting MAggette, adn the warriors getting james and blatche
i wont go to much into depth about this version, but rly GSW wants to unload maggette, denver could use a a good back up SF and the wizards get another scorer (but take on a horrible contract)

Anthony Randolph Available (maybe)
well i dnt have ESPN insider but it says that he is on the block. The warriors have been known to listen to coach nelly, no matter how dumb his decisions r. they also love there wing players. Well earlier people were discussing would u trade JR. Even though i wouldnt want to, i could see it ok for a deal for randolph. Hes a big guy (legit 6'11"), can stroke it, is athletic as hell, young, has shown he could score (see summer league/ end of last year) he is just in nellies' dog house. So would u trade JR for Randolph, i think so....
just to make it clear, i love JR, one of my fav players BUT randolph has so much potential/skill

What are we looking for?
i found this video on Yahoo... it starts off about mccgrady, but around the 2:00 minute mark, they ask what is denver looking at? they guy answers an athletic wing to guard kobe (i would think a big body) then he says a second thing wed want would b a big guy to pick up fouls on agianst the lakers... what u think? i think we need a big much more than a wing....

Bulls- Nuggets Trade
So what ive noticed is that what would really help Nene, Melo, and Chauncey is a big that could hit a jumper. No Malik allen doesnt count. We have been saying this for a while but I personally think Brad Miller would fit this team perfectly. He is a legit 7 footer, was clutch in the playoffs, almost hit a game winner on us, works hard, and has a big built. He is a legit center. He also is an expiring contract. So i propose we trade K-Mart for Brad Miller and a Filler. Chicago really needs a legit PF, i feel they would sacrifice their 2010 cap space, if they could get a PF.
so i propose,
K Mart and Malik Allen for Brad Miller and Tyrus Thomas (or someone else)
The main disadvantages i see are, Denver loses its Defensive QB and a lot of intensity (we also get a lot less Ts jkjk). Chicago's only disadvantage is they lose the 2010 space (but they get a lot of 2011 space).
btw this is not just a response to our recent loses, its really from what ive noticed in the games. Teams are clogging the lane, making melo, chauncey and nene get contested lay ups. (like if we had miller, chauncey prob would have had an almost open lay up vs detroit).

Targeting One of Orlando's Back Up Bigs
The way i see it is, by the time the playoffs come we will need another huge body to throw at the likes of Pau and Bynum. Well even though big men are scarce in todays nba... one team has a couple
The Orlando Magic signed both Marcin Gortat and Brandon Bass to contracts this summer... well first of all neither are playing that much cuz they play behind the #1 center in the NBA. Like Bass played 0 minutes against a big Boston team. This shows they do not need both. I think they would trade bass over gortat (even tho bass is cheaper). So why dont we take one of their hands. As of right now it looks like they need a back up PG. But it doesnt matter cuz by the time we can trade for gortat or bass (dec 15) nelson will only b a couple of weeks away from coming back. Both bass and gortat are great rebounders but gortat is 7 ft and bass is like 6'9" i think. The way i see it is, either one would help us with 20+ minutes of the bench...
ok so how do we get them?
Well the best trade for us would be balkman + Malik Allen or AC and a Pick for Bass
of course ORL loses big talent wise but financially its better for them

How to beat the LA Lakers....
the concept is really simple.... have melo make artest and kobe work... take advantage of a not 100% bynum and no pau gasol, nene and kmart should have big games.... use lawsons speed to destroy fisher, its been seen that fast PGs always do well against the lakers (aaron brooks from houston almost defeated the lakers in the playoffs, im confident that lawson is better than him because he has a better shot and is stronger while he could also b faster and a better decision maker)... have chauncey play more of a distrubuter role except for when fisher is on him... then have him stretch the defense... just keep AC out of this game... let chauncey make all the inbound plays... o and have Afflalo and JR(Earl III) make kobe work on both ends too
is too much to ask for a win, lets go nuggets i believe in us!!!
also as a side note, wasnt byron scott one of GKs players and like rly like him as a coach? if this is true do u think he would be a good assistant coach for us? think about supposedly all of GKs old pg want to work with him ass coaches... like cassel... i think i would love to see scott help out on the bench (also gets me thinking if gary the glove payton would like to be a coach)

James "Flight" White
According to a houston website James Flight White is being traded to denver for axel herevell's rights(never coming down anyways). James White is probably the best dunker in the league and this is his last chance to stick in the nba.... what better chance? he needed a chance to fastbreak and he might get that chance w us. Just youtube his dunks they r crazy. The only downside of this is we probably won't sign anyone else now because this brings us 13 players..... i would rather have him then Coby or Brumbaugh.... heres my source http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6631489.html

Captain Jack....
I know I have written a lot of these kinda posts but this has been a long and boring offseason...
So im going to put who we should target....
Well apparently stephen Jackson wants out of Golden State.....
(Source http://dimemag.com/2009/08/breaking-...te/#more-18251)
Also golden state also wants curry and monta to play together so they need to clear space in the backcourt, and they have another similar player in maggette
He has a rather large contract, but under 8 mil this year so we could use our TPE...
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=maqh4s
but that would result in to many players i think
Another idea i thought about would be K Mart for Stephen Jackson, Ronny Turiaf, and Brendan Wright or Acie Law
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=nt6ghg
I know you would think why trade K Mart for a SG/SF.... well we could actually start turiaf at center and play nene at pf...
MAybe give turiaf like 25 min. then either an extra 5 min to birdman or balkman or even petro
Then it gives us more flexibility
Our Lineup would be like
PG- Billups (32) Lawson (16) AC *AC might take more min
SG- Jackson (18) JR (30) AA
SF- Melo (34) Jacson (14)
PF- Nene (22) Balkman (16) Birdman(10) Allen
C- Turiaf (26) Nene (10) Birdman (12)
the most likely option would involve us not getting JAX, but helping him get to houston( which hes from and said he wanted to go there)
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=nt6ghg
the trade involves
JAX and 6.9 TPE from Denver to Houston
Battier to Denver
Lowry to GSW
It actually improves GSW and DEN in the Trade Machine but cuz T MAc and Yao are injure the machine counts them as playing so it would actually improve Houston too
People say we need another big ... but if we have such good perimeter players we could do a lot of damage
Jackson is really well rounded player, and its another 20+ scorer for Kobe to cover....
Or Battier is player who is proven to b the best player at covering kobe in the league

We should target one of the Bobcats Guards....
According to a source (http://bobcatsplanet.com/wp/di...bcats-is-a-done-deal and DIME mag is reporting it too) that Iverson has agreed to go to the bobcats, which i thought was a great fit for them both. Well know they have an abundance of guards, so we could come in and help. They are very money consious so they could just give up someone for the TPE or also need a back up SF so balkman could also work. What do you think? Of course i would want Boris Diaw(PF) but that would be almost impossible to get unless for like a deal like K Mart for Diaw and Vlad Radmonovic (bad contract).... But i was thinking just try to get mayb raja bell for the TPE ... thoughts?
