I found this, looking for some of LMA's college stats. It's pretty long, but it's an interesting read, some stuff I'd never read. High school battles between he and Bosh, stuff like that.

Here's the money shot:

The Blazers are the ideal "team". This is a collection of players that when analyzed on paper does not look to impressive. With the exception of All-Star Brandon Roy and very capable big man LaMarcus Aldridge, you have a bunch of journeymen, youngsters and mid-level role players. With that said, this team is still in prime position for a western conference playoff spot and is coached by a guy who does not tend to get the credit he deserves, Nate McMillan. While the Jazz are the leagues second best home team, the Blazers are the fourth best with a 30-7 record. Brandon Roy has continued to prove his case to why he should be considered amongst the NBA’s elite averaging 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game. While Roy sometimes gets the label as a guy who takes to many bad shots, he has seemed to have corrected that part of his game. A big reason for Roy’s recent upswing as a league star, is due to LaMarcus Aldridge. The big man who played his college ball at Texas is a multi-facet talent. He averages 18 points and 7 rebounds. Aldridge is a great mid range shooter, solid rebounder, above average defender and he shoots 48% from the field. A key player for Portland tonight will be Rudy Fernandez. The Jazz have great knock down shooters while the Blazers have Steve Blake and Rudy as theirs. If Fernandez is able to out shoot Korver that could give Portland the edge they need. This game will be very intense as both teams need it in a big way.

I found this to be pretty well done and funny. It was kicking off BDL's 10-Man Rotation.

This was posted in a comment on OLive blog, and I decide to give it a shot since I've emailed just about everybody else.

This is the direct link to email the Presidents office of Dtv, not just there customer care center, which gets you a canned response. Once I emailed, they called me within 2 hours to discuss it. The guy told me that there has been an unusually high number of requests for the channel recently and that requests that come his way (presidents office) get a higher priority and are passed on through the correct channels.

I'd recommend everybody who has Dtv and wants the channel, to shoot them a friendly, but frank email. Let them know that you REALLY want the channel and that you're forced to consider a switch to Comcast (whether you can get it or not).

Blazer's Edge Adam Morrison

I don't know why, but I've never been a big fan of Adam Morrison. I enjoyed his college game, but I never felt he would make it in the NBA, or at least at the level that people were projecting him to play. I've read a few articles lately, about his veering-towards-bust career. I wonder what the Bobcats would want for him?

Everyone knows the guy can shoot, and on the Blazers, he wouldn't be required to get his own shot off, which he's had trouble with so far. Could he be a great spot up shooter in the mold of a Kapono or Korver?

If he could be had cheap, say a lottery protected first rounder or a first in 2010, would it be worth it? I'm still not confident we have the shooter this team needs. I know Rudy may fill that role eventually, or maybe Martell if he gets it together.

Morrison is interesting because he's not a star and he never will be. But he just may end up being a pretty nice role player.....

Blazer's Edge Paul, Chris

Why isn't this guy a Blazer?????

OK, this isn't a trade for a Paul post, I simply need to speak my mind.....

.......THIS CAT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I'm turning into a big fan watching him play in these playoffs. They may not win this series (they will), but he's just shredding Dallas. I hope Roy makes a similar jump next season. He doesn't have to become a Super Duper Star, but really I just hope watching Roy next year (his 3rd, like Paul), he shows the same understanding of the game and comfort in reading and dissecting defenses. Paul was good last year (like Roy this year) but he's stepped his game up to the next level. He recognizes what's being sent at him and calmly decides how to beat it.

Roy's development is similar to Paul's in that he was good his first year. Second year they both get doubled and have defenses designed to stop them and they both surpassed expectations. I hope Roy takes that next step next year and get's that consistency. I'm sure we all do. And I'm sure he will.

Blazer's Edge #13 Picks

Since 1994, here are the #13 picks in the lottery. Sure looks crappy, here's hoping we move up, or pull off a 1996. A quick glance this morning at the ESPN's Draft Machine has us selecting Danillo Gallinari from Italy. I know next to nothing about this guy. Is he any good?

07 Julian Wright - Jury's still out, but he's had a fairly lackluster year

06 Thabo Sefolosha - Improving and shows promise, but hardly a star

05 Sean May - Bleh

04 Sebastian Telfair - Bleh (but improved this season.....slightly)

03 Marcus Banks - Bleh

02 Marcus Haislip - Bleh (Not sure if he's still in the league)

01 Richard Jefferson - Baller

00 Courtney Alexander - Bleh

99 Corey Maggette - Baller

98 Keon Clark - Bleh

97 Derek Anderson - Double Bleh

96 Kobe Bryant - Baller (sleazebag, Bleh)

95 Corliss Williamson - Bleh

That makes 8 blehs (including one double bleh), 3 ballers, and 2 who are too young to tell, but show signs of joining the Bleh's. Not exactly a great slot. Of course if KP does his homework and evaluates talent like the past, we should be able to avoid the bleh's and select a sleeper who can play. Here's hoping.......
