Bring back Udoh! Could we bring him back by trading our later round picks and a jewel encrusted briefcase full of cash? Maybe Lacob could throw in free jamba juice and a sour dough jack (if Milwaukee has jack n the box).
Was Pietrus a tactical diversion for Ellison supporters and Cohan Backlash?
I watched almost the entire game from home and there was no mention of Pietrus in the building. Maybe I missed it in between sandwhich bites, beer gulps and a bathroom break. In any case, I dont know why he was there and if any of you guys could provide a reason why, it may refute the speculative title of this post. Or maybe not?
I was reading a GSoM post the other day by Atma about that "NO" pole for Ellison buying the warriors and how that pole jumped within a matter of minutes. Atma playfully suggested that Cohan was behind the sudden increase in NO's citing that it is known he reads GSoM. Im inclined to believe that Cohan occasionally reads the blogs or at least has someone monitor it for him. But that can be debated...
In any case why was here there? Did he want to see lebron (lol), Ellison maybe? Did he just happen to be in town? Im sure management knew he was coming. And they sure as hell knew about Ellison coming. Piecing all of this together, is it plausible that with all of the negative attention cohan has received, and assuming he's read the blogs about how we wanted to bring Ellison shirts, start a chant ect., that he conjured up a successful diversion to keep the crowd at bay? As someone pointed out in another post, a lot of fans were star struck and paid more attention to him than anything else.
I know it sounds wierd...like Cohan just paid Pietrus off and flew him out here for meet and greet disraction purposes. I mean, if that was the case then why not bring Baron or JR and creat a bigger distraction? I dont know, I would hate to give too much credit to a front office that has blundered so badly over the years but if this was the case, how stupid can they be. After all, they still have managed to attract crowds to Oracle even though the team is struggling. Maybe W's fans are just that loyal or boneheaded (or boneheadedly loyal????). I for one am boneheadedly loyal!
Will Don Nelson and Co. burnout Monta?
The recent scretch of games for Monta has really got me thinking. He's played almost every minute of the game for a while now and is currently 2nd in minutes played behind Gerlad Wallace. Now, I could see if the dubs were winning with monta playing so much but they're not. They're over exerting him and will probably run him into the ground with severely decreased efficiency or some kind of injury. Yes, he is our best player and gives us the greatest chance at wining when he is on the floor. However with the recent play of our warriors, I think its obvious that Monta cant do it by himself. Hell, fatigue is probably why he cant do a 10 second commercial (Give the gift....of a superstar... this....holiday...season [eyes slightly shift back slightly to center screen]). And you notice they have someone else saying it now! (sounds like Tim Roye).
Seriously though, why are they playing him so much if we are losing? Your guess is as good as mine (Marketing, trading purposes ect.) I think the last game against the sixers was a little better when at 5 minutes left in the 3rd they threw in Mr. white flag of surrender devan george and let everyone else play. They need to start garabage time early when it is obviously hopeless and let our young guns play and get the crucial experiece they need. At the very least they could give monta a rest toward the end of each quarter.
If you look back, Nelson sorta did the same thing to Baron and Jack. The season after we believe, he played baron an awful lot. I dont know if you noticed but baron looked lethargic toward the end of that season. He is already a lazy defender but he looked even lazier then. Who knows, If nelson rested him more during blowout games, maybe we could've gotten those couple crucial wins to get us back in the playoffs. Alot of responsibility was placed on Jack thanks to moped-gate and he got oodles of playing time. Correct me if im wrong but didnt Jack jack-up his foot or toe toward the end? I dont know, it just seems that over exerting your best player on a poorly productive team is a lose lose situation.
