I completely agree with this article. Preseason games shouldn't be the same price as regular season games.

Are our chances of winning better? I'm sure many of you guys are happy.

Everyone here has the 49ers winning the NFC West. And if I'm reading this correctly, Matthew Berry has the 49ers losing the superbowl to the Ravens.

Mocking The Draft My first crack at a mock draft

So here is my mock. I'm not so happy with the later picks because I don't know those teams needs as well as others so all constructive criticism is accepted. If you want I can explain my picks in more detail, just ask.

Fixed the Trent Williams missing. It was definitely a mistake.

Rams- Sam Bradford They need someone to play QB. Kyle Boller isnt the answer.

Lions- Ndomakong Suh Time to bulk up the d-line.

Bucs- Gerald McCoy Need a strong foundation for their defense.

RedskinsRussel Okung Someone has to protect McNabb.

ChiefsEric Berry Drafted Tyson Jackson at #3 last year. They aren't afraid to pick by need and Berry is a monster.

Seahawks- Jimmy Clausen Every coach has the QB they like and Hasselbeck won't last forever.

Browns- Joe Haden The need some help on defense and Haden can reinforce their CB postion

Raiders- Bruce Campbell It is hard to predict Al Davis. Maybe he'll draft Anthony Davis because the have the same last name. Who knows.

Bills- Brian Bulaga Who the QB is going to be is going to need some protection.

Jaguars- Derrick Morgan Their defense needs help. Wouldn't be surprised if they got ET but Morgan can help their D-line

Broncos- Dan Williams  D-line is very old. They need some fresh talent soon.

DolphinsEarl Thomas LB is also a need but the need a safety too.

49ers- Trent Williams RT is a huge need and he should be a solid RT

Seahawks- Charles Brown T is a big need and I would think that Carroll would like Brown.

Giants- Rolando McClain Have no fear AP is here! Actually he is on his way but he is too slow.

Titans- Jason Pierre-Paul Vaden Bosch is gone, need more fire power.

49ers- CJ Spiller Need a return man and can be a COP RB which would give Smith some more toys

Steelers- Kyle Wilson They need some young talent at CB and they can get a replacement for Holmes later

Falcons- Brandon Graham Need more help on defense. Could go a couple of different ways but Graham is a beast.

Texans-Mike Iupati Some help for Slaton, Moats, Foster, Henry and whoever else they have back there.

Bengals- Jermaine Gresham Some help for Carson Palmer.

Patriots- Kareem Jackson Need some help to make their defense good as it was a couple of years ago

Packers- Maurkice Pouncey Some much need help for Rodgers.

Eagles- Sean Weatherspoon Need some LB help with all the injuries and lack of solid talent previously

Ravens- Devin McCourty Im not sold on their current CBs and they can become even better with more talent at CB.

Cardinals-Sergio Kingle Need any linebackers

Cowboys- Anthony Davis Flozell is gone and their whole o-line could use some youth so can

Chargers- Ryan Matthews Need a RB and Matthews can pass block and catch from the backfield so he should be able to start for them right away

Jets-Everson Griffen Who needs Jason Taylor when you can get this guy? Has a good motor sometimes and I feel Rex Ryan can help him be a pass rushing force

Vikings-Pat Robinson Winfield is good but getting older and Griffen tore his ACL in the NFC championship so they could use some more help

Colts-Jared Odrick someone who can help them stop the run more.

Saints-Jerry Hughes Make their defense stronger for a repeat.

The leaders of the Pro Bowl voting so far. Tony Gonzalez is leading TEs. Make sure to vote for V-Dav cause he deserves it.

The depth chart as of now on the new looking 49ers.com. The interesting thing to me is that the 49ers have Coffee, but no Crabs

Niners Nation Early 49ers Madden 2010 ratings

Hello 49ers fans, and especially 49ers fans who play Madden. I have come here with the early ratings. For this years Madden they have redone the rating system to so how the elite players are truly elite (Peyton Manning 99 Alex Smith 67)

I was extremely mad after the final roster update for Madden 2009. The 49ers ended up being a 70. Which isn't that bad. The part that bother me was that the Rams, Raiders, Chiefs, Browns etc where higher than us. We were the second worst team (Ahead of the Lions of course). That 70 made me really pissed off. I have found from a sports video game website that I go to (pastapadre.com) many, many, many, ratings for Madden 2010. Of course, I didn't write down all the rating because that would be ridiculous. I don't have all the player ratings, but I do have about half of the team that would be on the 53 man roster. Also I have they rookie rating from awhile back (they may have gone up). So the 49ers will a 73 overall. Which isn't that bad (it would go up with roster updates during the season). I will post all the team overall ratings in order so you get a sense where the 49ers line up against the rest of the league.

1.New England Patriots 93
2. Pittsburgh Steelers 92
3. New York Giants 89
4. Philadelphia Eagles 88

They are not in any order. I just scanned through the comments (people requested ratings). Of course there are some missing. Bruce and Goldson, Sopoaga, etc. I will try to find those out. Please discuss if you agree/disagree with the ratings.

I think most of the are pretty fair with the new rating system. When we dominate during the season. If you have a Xbox 360 or PS3 and you haven't gotten any the recent Maddens, than I highly reccomend that you get this one. Everything looks so much better. We could also use this as a general Madden thread since I don't think there is one.

There are a lot of new features in this years game. To me the coolest is the online franchise. You can play franchise online (to use the great features) or with 31 other people. The coolest part is that you can update your depth chart/other things on the internet through EA or an iphone app. There are a lot of new things so here is a link to general features: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madden_NFL_10

If you want to see some videos of Madden 2010 look here:

NOTE: THESE ARE NOT THE FINAL RATINGS. THEY WILL CHANGE. ALSO THEY WILL CHANGE WILL ROSTER UPDATES DURING THE SEASON.

Niners Nation 9 picks. What positions should the 9ers draft?

I don't necessarily want to start any discussion but I am curious what everybody thinks. Let me come up with a list of what I think (not in order I would want to draft) and a reason why.

DE/OLB -Pass rush is important and Mike Singletary said he wanted to improve and Demtric Evans might be a good sort time solution but obivously we'll need some young talent. I think it will adressed 1st or 2nd depending on who is on the board

OT - Marvel Smith is clearly a short term solution and hopefully he can remain healthy and prove to be worth $10.5 mil. I think this will be adressed 1st or 2nd

RB - Thomas Clayton has looked good in last year;s preseaon. A lot of people (including myself) think he could be the 2/3 rb. We need more depth at RB because as of last year our O-line was pretty weak and Frank could use some time to rest. I would like to see a speedster/jukester here. Im thinking round 4 or later.

WR - Even if Bruce decides to stay we don't have a BIG target. Dominique Zeigler is our tallest WR at 6' 3" but he is no Larry Fitzgerald (yet). Many people including myself like Ramses Barden. And if the 49ers miss him i'll be upset because they passed of Desean Jackson (go Cal!) last year; although Rachal is good. 6'6" is huge and I don't know how you cover a guy like that. Many people say he will be gone in the 3rd. If we don't get him there then I say WR will be drafted round 4 or later.

QB - Stafford? Sanchez? Anybody? I don't think so. But it does look like we will need someone to take over eventually. Tom Brady was a 6th round pick so you never know what you are getting. A rookie QB won't start obviously but could develop into something in the future. I say round 5 or later.

CB - You can never have too much depth here. I doubt one will be pick early on but a person to replace Strickland would be great. I say 4 or later.

FB - Moran Norris is a monster. Every monster has a weakness. His is his age. As far as I know, Norris has been healthy. But he could help develop a young guy. Good FBs are rare so it is important. Also I don't see Keasey or Robinson as a real fullback. My guess is

FS - Dashon Goldson is the new FS. I am excited to hear that he is a ballhawk in practice and I really want him to excel. Although is the starter it doesn't mean that he will become a pro bowler. I think this would be addressed 3rd or later

In conclusion, I saw we draft: DE, OLB, OT, RB, WR, QB,CB, FB, FS

please write what you think. I hope all of you are as excited about next year as I am!
