They are basically the same player. A wash in terms of defense, aldrich has a slight edge on defensive rebounding, jorts scores a lot higher percentage of shots and is a better offensive rebounder. Jorts is stronger, bigger, and just about as long. And jorts has shown the ability to show up in big games and defend against quality big-men one on one, something aldrich never really did. Is anybody talking about taking jorts 11th overall?   

He isn't on the official roster or the depth chart, but after a lot of searching I also can't find any press about him being released? Is he an unrestricted free agent now?

He is a dominant blocker, able to play fullback or tight end, and definitely somebody the skins should hold onto if given the chance, especially with the year Mike Sellers had last season. Does anybody have any information of the redskins plans for him?
