Bob Fitzgerald - Fox News Correspondent
I called the Fitz and Brooks show today. The first time I called, I told them that I wanted to talk about the Warriors. The guy then told me to email the show instead. I called about 30 minutes later and gave them a different name, and said I just wanted to talk about Stephen Jackson's play. The guy who I was talking to then asked, "You're gonna talk about Stephen Jackson's game right?"
When I got through, I asked Bob about why the Warriors gave Jackson the extension despite the turnovers, the lack of ball movement, and the horrible percentage. Fitz then gave an answer like a typical Warriors PR guy.
I then asked him what was the sole reason the Warriors have been a bad franchise the last decade plus, and his answer was that the team has had a winning record the last couple of seasons, and that they have young up and coming players.
Bob Fitzgerald is a Fox News employee. His master ,,,,,,,um, I mean his owner, is Chris Cohan. Why do you think the Warriors let Bob Fitzgerald steal Greg Papa's job as the announcer. Listening to the show is like listening to Fox News. In the words of Mike Singletary, "Cannot play with them. Cannot win with them. Cannot coach with them. Can't do it. I want winners. I want people that want to win."
Boycott buying tickets people!

Houston, Phoenix out? Warriors In!
With the injuries to Tracy McGrady (out for season-knee surgery ) and Amare Stoudemire (out for 2 months-eye surgery), We have a shot to shock the world once again! With Biedrins coming back, We are gonna finally be at full force. There will be no more talk of the draft and possible lottery picks (because we always somehow manage to get a bad spot). There will only be that We Believe mantra from now on.
Now that the team is starting to get healthy, the feeling and mood has switched from "We're gonna get blown the f... out," to "We got a chance!" This season has to be one of the toughest seasons to watch as a Dubs fan. From being in the playoffs a couple years ago, to barely missing it due to the superior conference, to having no hope whatsoever, and NOW, to believing we have a good shot to win each game.
Without Amare, the Suns have no chance of that run & gun style, especially with Shaq on board. Without McGrady, Houston will be on a steady decline, especially with Rafer Alston leaving them also.
This is our time...........
We Believe................... Hopefully???????
Manny assist to Don
In these depressing times, when your team just looks like what they been the past decade, examples of determination and discipline can be especially inspiring. I want to give Manny Pacquiao his props over his dominating win against Oscar De La Hoya. Pacquiao now solidifies his number one status as the best pound for pound boxer, and a couple more Ws like this should make him one of the top ten fighters of all time.
Before the fight, many of the boxing writers saw the match-up as a joke, thinking that a fighter with height and reach, would be too much to handle for a smaller fighter with speed. Well, just the opposite happened, as Pacquiao's quickness and game plan overwhelmed De La Hoya and put the 35 year old in a position he had never been in his whole career.
In Boxing, the Pacman proved quickness and a great game plan can work if executed correctly. However, in the NBA, this concept does not seem to have the same effect. In Don Nelson's system, the small ball play has proved to work at times, but just not enough to get where his teams ultimately want to covet, which is the NBA title.
I have no doubt in my mind that Don Nelson is a hall of famer. But I think the time has come where either he has to change his style of play to a more defensive oriented team, or just hang up the gloves like De La Hoya should do. The reunion was nice......But I think now is the time to pull the trigger.
At times like this..... a little inspiration and a little contemplation

Idea to take a little of the pain off
Watch The Office at 9:00 pm today. It's the only idea I got. To me, it's the best and funniest show going on right now.
Reminder: It ain't over till the fat lady sings. This loss could ultimately be a blessing in disguise. Would you rather be out in the first round or have a chance at a good pick. We shocked the world last year, and this year we will do it a little differently. We will be getting that number 1 pick and getting Michael Beasley. Believe!!!
Monta and his Shot attempts
I noticed on the last couple of broadcasts that the commentators were mentioning that they thought that Monta should get the ball more. Today it was Jim Barnett, and the other was in the Toronto broadcast from one of their commentators. It's pretty clear that Monta should be getting the ball more than anyone on the team since he's the most consistent offensive player. I really think that if Monta took Iverson shots, which would be about 27 per game, he would definitely put up Iverson numbers. Is there a reason that Steven Jackson gets so many isos even though that isn't his best game? I really don't understand it when Baron has an off game shooting-wise (which is too much to count) and we still let him try to take over while the other 4 players just stand there without moving. It's really unfathomable!!!
Best aquisition of the season?
The best acquisition of the season has to be Sidney Moncrief. This guy took us from being one of the worst free throw shooting teams to being one of the best. There were times last season where our free throws would cost us the game. This season is a whole other story. In the last couple of months, our free throws are actually winning us ball games. Most of the credit has to be given to Sir Sid. Sid the Squid for MVP!
The Don on Monta
It's been awhile since my last post, more like last season. I just wanted to put my 2 cents in on the trade talks and the bashing, specifically on Monta.
This is from Don Nelson after today's game:
"He's one of the best point guards in the league. I'm playing him a lot of minutes and he's having a great year so far. He's a big part of what we do."
And so I ask. Do u still want to trade him? It's been pointed out many times on this site that we should ship him out. The man can flat out ball, and has been improving every aspect of his game as he gets more experience. Remember the turnovers, the bad D, the inconsistent J. Well, I can't anymore. Each game the man (notice I didn't say kid) puts up numbers across the board. His pts, rebounds and dimes are up, while his turnovers are down. Does he have certain things that he needs to improve on like ball handling? Of course. But u got to give credit where credit is due, and I certainly think he deserves it. He makes the team faster than what they already are, and that's saying a lot.
stephen jackson
Someone needs to tell Nelson that's it's alright to take this dude out of the game when he's struggling. It seems like Nelson is afraid that if he takes out Jackson for too long, he thinks that Jax. might be another Webber. People complain about Monta with his handles, but Stephen Jax. driving is a turnover waiting to happen. Yea, this guy's stepped up big for us throughout the playoffs, but in this series, he's been terrible. Nelson needs to stop thinking that Jax. is Scottie Pippen. I said it before like 3 months ago and people started hatin, but this guy has LIMITATIONS to his game that he doesn't realize. He needs to be a distributer when he drives. Other than that, he should just be a shooter. Every once in a while he does get to the basket, but more times than not, it's ridiculous to say he should be driving more. It's simply not his game. He's not a one on one player. Leave it up to Baron, Monta, J-Rich. Jackson should do more of what he did in the season, which is be a team player. No more isos please.
What was Nelson thinking?
When Deron Williams had two fouls, and came back into the 2nd quarter with about 9 min. left, why the hell didn't Nelson tell Baron to put his ass on the block and attack. How did Williams pick up 2 fouls u say? Because Baron was just abusing him in the start of the 1st. What's the logic in giving it to Steven Jackson to attack the best defensive player on the court. Nelson's a great coach, but he's not perfect. Why can't he play more players other than his 8 man rotation. What's the problem in resting his players?
Nellie- u didn't win any championships in your decades as a coach. Don't u think u should change a few things. And oh yea, I mentioned earler how Monta looked pissed in game 1, well did u see what happened in game 2. The kid gets called for 1 f..... offensive foul, and what happens next, Nellie takes his ass out of the game. Baron shouldn't be playing 45 minutes a game. After that offensive foul call, Monta doesn't even get back into the game. I said it before and I'll say it again. Memo to Nellie- Do u want Monta to become the next Chris Webber. This kid needs playing time, and I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to go someone else after his contract ends. Wake up Nellie and smell the damn coffee.
Don Nelson on 48 minutes
Sometimes, I don't really understand what Nellie's thinking. He gave Pietrus and Harrington chances after struggling, why not Monta. That's one of the problems I have with Nelson. He doesn't give the opportunity to certain players who are struggling. It's confusing and stupid when I see Pietrus struggle and not show up for two whole games in the Dallas series, and then suddenly Nellie gives him pt to step up in the third game. From what I remember, Monta played mediocre, but not that poor. Monta played a big role on how we got here and now Nelson won't give the kid any chance. If we lose the next game, and Monta gets the same number of opportunities that he got last game, which was none, than I will personally go to the Oracle and chant We want Monta! We want Monta! It would be really sad if he will get Foyle minutes throughout the series.
Secondly, Al Harrington only played 12 minutes in the 2nd half. WTF Nellie. This guy came up huge for us in the 1st half and kept us in the game. If Nelson gave Harrington more minutes in the 4th, then we had a great chance to put them away with our 5 point lead. This is another problem I have with Neillie. He doesn't always make the right decision as far as giving his players the right amount of playing time to help this team succeed. If Monta and Al played more that game, We might be talking a W instead of an L. Someone really needs to tell Nelson that it's alright to rest Jackson and Barnes. It's not like their the only ones that have been big for us throughout the season. Resting players and giving them a break is very important, especially in a best of seven series. Had Barnes maybe took a breather more, maybe he would have got that rebound that could have won us the game. But now, we're down 0-1.
Memo to Nellie- Take this into consideration. Remember Chris Webber. And yea, remember what happened to this team and the organization after u traded him. Well, Can u please tell me what your doing with Monta Ellis. I remember when he subbed in for Baron Davis, and u could see his face of disgust and disappointment. I'm not saying that Monta has a Chris Webber attitude. But come on! DO U WANT THAT TO HAPPEN TO UR ASS AGAIN?
TNT, starting line
Did any of u catch the TNT postgame yesterday. Kenny Smith mentioned that in the next series, Sarunas J. can be the next guy to have a coming out party like Barnes did this series. It still shows u THEY STILL DON'T KNOW. When was the last time this dude gave valuable minutes?
Monta will come out next series (if given minutes) and show the world how good he really is. He along with Harrington will be big for us next series. Nellie should go back to the old starting line-up (real small ball). Both teams (Jazz and Rockets) can't handle the quickness.
As much as I like Barnes, Biedrins and MP, Monta and Al should start next series. Basketball is a game of matchups, and this line-up will cause the most havoc for those two teams. One
Analysis of Situation
The series is tied 1-1. We came into their house getting what we wanted, which was a split. We still have home court advantage. Coming into the series, we knew it would be a tough and probably long one. We, as fans,(specifically those going at the Oracle Arena for Friday and Sunday) will not and shall not let our Dubs lose. I want to hear the crowd at the Oracle all the way from the McAfee Coliseum.
Fact: We still got home-court.
Fact: Charles Barkley has no idea what he's talking about and is not qualified to be an analyst.
Fact: Baron will be rested and fresh from his ejection.
Fact: It's our series to lose. The Mavs have to come to OUR HOUSE!
Fact: Al Harrington will get a talk from Nelson and his teammates, and he will show up at Game 3 abusing Damp and Diop.
Fact: We will not lose! We have too many things going for us and they have their backs against the wall.
Keep your heads up people. I guarantee we will win this series in 6. We just have to Win out on our Soil. Please believe it. One
This just in........FSN Bay Area represent
The San Jose Sharks have just won their first round series. This means that Game 1 of the Dubs-Mavs game can be seen on FSN Bay Area. It can also be seen on TNT. I don't know about u but sometimes the lack of knowledge that other announcers have about us is so bad that I seem to lower the volume down or put it on mute the whole game. This is just a reminder to all the people who want to see, in my opinion, the best 1 and 2 combo of Fitz and Barnett. Game 4 is also scheduled to be on FSN. Keep it thorough my W brethren.
GSOM diaries and site/ Brother Ali The Undisputed
Is it just me or does it take longer than before to go into the diaries. Before, when I clicked on the link, it would take 2 seconds. Now, it's about 15. Anyone having the same problems, or is it just me? It also happens when I enter the site. It could just be my computer, but I dunno.
I've downloaded a couple songs since yesterday, but that's about it. The last time I came on this site it loaded pretty well. Anyways, off topic, but anyone heard of Brother Ali. Dude is the truth. His album is called the Undisputed Truth. It's a classic, and in my opinion the best hip hop album of the year, mainstream or underground. It came out on April 10. His first album was sick too. It's called Shadows on the Sun. FYI, even though I downloaded a couple songs, I still bought the album. I just had too because it's an instant classic. For hip hop heads and for people who appreciate the realness, check Brother Ali out. The Undisputed Truth
Game threads?
Didn't we agree that the game threads of other teams was not a good idea, since they usually win when one is written. Well, today, it could happen again. I urge all of you to stop with the comments. Today's game was so sick. I'll be throwing up for the whole week if We (the Warriors-Hornets) lose.
With 20 seconds left, The Clippers steal the inbounds pass and moments later, Brand dunks the b.... Who threw the boneheaded pass? Marc Unstoppable Baby Jackson. Does that tell u the threads aren't good or what.
Overtime Update: Warriors-Hornets Win 103-100. With 14 seconds left, and with the Hornets up by 4, Chris Paul misses both free throws. Next play, Jason Hart makes lay-up. And then, guess what, David West missed 1st free throw, but made second one. Clips still had a chance, but Elton Brand then got a turnover with 5 seconds. WOW. I think that either the basketball Gs don't want us to win or it's the threads. Anyways, the Warriors-Hornets win, with the game being too damn close because of ........ I don't know. I don't care. We WIN
Linas Kleiza is my hero
Down by 2 with 20 seconds left, Linas Kleiza hits a 3 to win the game. Denver wins. Playoff hopes still alive!!!
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE
REJOICE REJOICE REJOICE
im writing because i have too. 5 more games to go. We can still do this.
Today was a missed opportunity. Hopefully, it will still get us a shot at that 8th. Let's go! Linas Kleiza's shot may very well be the turning point of the Clipper's season. It's a wrap for them. We got this. KEEP HOPE ALIVE KEEP HOPE ALIVE KEEP HOPE ALIVE
Monta and usda_gradeameat
Nelson, after the game, "I was lucky to have Monta at all, with him having a strained back."
It shows the confidence that Nellie has in him, especially getting him the start. I guess that's why we didn't see ELLIS 2 THE RIM II. Oh well, hopefully he'll be alright on Sunday.
P.S. usda_gradeameat, will u be able to put up Sunday's game? It's on at 12 noon.
KEEP HOPE ALIVE
Chris Taft?
Anyone know the latest on this guy. What I remember about him was that when he was in the game, he gave us a physical body. He could rebound and do all the dirty work. I know he's a free agent, but does anyone know the status of his back. If it weren't for his injuries, I think he had a good chance to make the team. I was disappointed when we waived him because I thought he could be useful after his back was okay.
If he's injury free now, Let's give him an opportunity to at least get a few tryouts.
GOOD NEWS
Today, the Clips lost to the Nets, the Lakers beat the T-wolves, and Dallas beat Detroit.
It's official. We are now in sole position of the 8th spot. The Clips are behind 1 game, while the Hornets, Kings, and T-Wolves are all 2 games behind us.
Now, all we have to do is hold on to this 8th spot, which seems very attainable.
Jim Barnett on the refs today
On the Warriors Roundtable after the win in Seattle, Jim Barnett said that he thought the officiating was a joke. He metioned a few calls, like the Al Harrington blocking charge and the Monta offensive foul. He also said that if he was a player, he wouldn't know how to play because the refs were so inconsistent. He even mentions that it was one of the oddest officating he's ever seen. And Jim Barnett has seen thousands, no pun intented on age.
People have been saying that We make it up that the refs don't give us calls. NOPE. It's the truth. I guess we have to dominate the Mavericks in the first round to get some respect.
Memo to VonteegoCummings
test broadcast
"Ok folks add my yahoo id usda_gradeameat to see me for tonights game."
How do we add your id?
Sorry, but not too good at computers
Can you tell me how to do it. Thanks One Love
The diary has to be 300 characters, so that's why I'm still typing. I don't know what else to say other than Marc Stein and other Warrior haters can go suck on a .... when we beat the Mavs in the first round
We going for that number 8 spot
From the words of Ludacris, "We going for that number 8 spot."
Basketball is a game of matchups, and The Dubs proved that yesterday. We played beautifully the whole game. The Warriors played what TEAM basketball is all about. Extra passes were made, turnovers were forced, and shots were made. That equals the formula for WARRIORS putting up a W.
We obviously have their number, so for those who said we just lucky a couple times, (um...Coma), you're wrong. We matchuped well with them before the big trade, and now even more so.
This win should open the eyes of those who think that the Dubs are a joke (Tim Legler). It should cement the fact that, when fully healthy, from the words of the Wu Tang Clan, "the Warriors aint nuthing to f... wit."
So in conclusion, The Warriors win over Dallas on Monday, March 12, 2007 was not only a turning point in the season, but a preview of what's to come when we play the Mavs in the first round of the 2007 playoffs.

Keep it in perspective
We are 1 game behind the 7th and 8th spots.
Yes this game was important, but we still got 26 more games to go.
Bad news: If we tie with the Clips for the 8th spot at the end of the season, they get the spot.
Good News: Baron Davis should come back in a week or 2. Monta is getting his shine on. JRich gets more games to gel.
We still got a shot. Just root for the Wizards to beat the T Wolves, and the PACERS(yea I said it) to beat the Kings today. And oh yea, the Fa.. to get smashed by the Dubs.
Remember, this loss could prove to be a blessing in disguise. Let's get that 8th spot and SHOCK THE WORLD (sweep the Mavs)!
Monta=clutch THE SOLUTION
Zorgon, remember the time when you said to take Monta out the 4th, um.......Yea Hell No!
This kid is clutch. Just call him "THE SOLUTION" Definition of solution:the act of solving a problem.
People have been saying he is too small to be a sg. People say he doesn't have the skills to be a point.
I say I don't give a damn. JUST make him the 1st or 2nd priority everytime on the offense. He shines when it counts the most.
On another note, WTF is Stephen Jackson doing with the ball in the 4th. He can't create off the dribble, as evidenced in the last couple of games, not to mention his whole damn career.
Remember, Monta Ellis AKA THE SOLUTION
THE SOLUTION to the hole! Another suggestion is QUICK FIX. It's a synonym for solution.
Monta Ellis article
Monta is getting more love. He is featured in an article by Tony Mejia at cbssportsline.com.
I dont know how to post a link so just go to the website, and click on the NBA link.
In it, Tony Mejia compares him to Gilbert Arenas, talking about how they were selected in the 2nd round, and how them seem to be one of the better players in their respected drafts. He also talks about how they're different
in terms of personality and demeanor.
Tony also talks about Ellis in his highschool years, how he was one of the most celebrated in Mississippi.
Finally, Mejia says that with the mistake the Warriors made on Arenas, Ellis will most likely not have to worry about it happening to him.
The title is "Ellis once again proves NBA scouts don't know much"
Great Article-Looks like A WARRIOR will soon be a superstar--HOW LONG HAS THAT BEEN?
Pippen says he wants to play for contender
From ESPN
He said he's in good shape, his knee is fine and he'd even be willing to sign a 10-day contract to prove what he can do.
"I'm not going to be a nonstop high-flyer like I was in my prime," Pippen said. "But I can still run. I can still dunk. But most of all, I know the game."
"I'm thinking of trying to come back for the playoffs," Pippen said. "Something like the last two months of the season, somewhere I can come back and play limited minutes to start, play point forward for someone and build toward the playoffs. It's something I've been thinking about for the last three months."

Believers & Monta the "Kid" Ellis
The Warriors are just 1 game behind the 8th spot and 2.5 games behind the 7th spot.
We still have a good chance of making the playoffs. The teams that are ahead of us are giving us a chance. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME U COULD SAY THAT?
On another note, many people, including Nellie, say that Monta needs to be a point guard to be successful. I disagree with that tremendously. Look at ex Warrior Gilbert Arenas who plays point for the Wizards. Is he a true point guard?
Answer: HELL NO! Look at Iverson, dude has been in the league for 10 years and he's still BALLIN. Iverson is not a point, but is what Monta Ellis could become. What player does Monta Ellis resemble in the NBA? My answer would be Allen Iverson. You could see shades of AI's quickness, agility, and toughness.
So, enough with the he is not a true point guard. The "kid" is a basketball player, and will be an all-star for years to come.
P.S. Watch the "kid" light it up in the Rookie/ Sophomore game on Friday.
