Draft this Guy?
With a successful and entertaining season now over, the true fun can finally begin. The off-season, for me at least, may be even funner than the regular season. I just love discussing, contemplating, and breaking down possible moves the team could make. It has a unique flavor of the unknown that excites me.
Which brings me to the point of this post, I would like to give my own (crappy) opinion of potential players the Indiana Pacers could draft (though I probably won't do anymore). I figured I would use an arbitrary and inaccurate rating system inspired by (stolen from) nbadraft.net. Rating players from 1-10 on various basketball related skills with 1 being the worst and 10, obviously, indicating all-world ability. For instance, Lou (Amundson) would be a 1 on shooting, while Ray (Allen) would be a 10. Pretty simple right, even the dimmest of minds can figure it out. I'm going to err on the low side, because I'd rather undervalue than overvalue a player. I'm not going to break up the abilities by position because that would just muddle things a great deal.
After the Jump, I'm going to profile/rate a personal favorite of mine, Quincy Miller.
Kobe has a Kwame Brown story!
During the lockout Kobe went to the University of California to speak with some students. At some point he felt compelled to share his Kwame experience...
Which uniforms are best?
Okay, so we pretty much took over a fine post from Glenn to talk about what uniforms we would like to see the team use in the future. Which, eventually came down to what uniform from the past we find most appealing. I'll list the uniforms down with some pictures and then have a poll where we can decide which is the best. The poll is after the jump.
Basketball Value
I just wanted to share this website because I found it very informative and interesting.
Greg Oden done for Season.
It would seem he is undergoing surgery to repair cartilage in his left knee. The Blazers have already said they are not going to extend Oden, meaning that Greg will be a restricted free agent going into this summer. It just so happens the Pacers have some cap space going into this summer. My question to all is quite simply, "Would you sign this guy?" I'm in favor of signing him and will offer my argument for doing so after the jump.
Granger scores 22 in US game vs China
That can't hurt his chances of making the team. Outperforming Kevin Durant helps, but perhaps most importantly Jeff Green and JaVale McGee didn't play at all in this game. Looks like Granger will be playing plenty of Power Forward for team US. I think making the team will be a good thing for Granger, despite what many people may think. Wouldn't hate to see Granger excel at the PF either.

Kahn continues being Kahn
I just thought it was kinda amusing, It's an article from the Star Tribune about Kahn's visit on a radio talk show.
Free Throw Shooting %
I had a sudden thought early in the morning and I decided to share that thought with others. Because I just like to see my own thoughts in blog form.
Who makes the playoffs?
There have been plenty of trades thrown around on this site and, honestly, I've gotten bored of them to some degree. Mostly because they are the same trades for the same players repeated over and over. So, I thought we should go in another direction for awhile and explore the upcoming season. I wanna know who you think will make the playoffs and then the Finals themselves.
