Iowa tragedy.....
this morning an Iowa football legend has tied in a tragic manner.....Ed Thomas, the head football coach of Aplington/parkersburg, yes the same parkersburg that was destroyed by a tornado last year, was shot and killed while lifting weights with his players. He won the NFL High School Coach of the year three years ago, has four former players currently in the NFL, numerous state championships, and always said his faith and family came before football. He was also a major figure in the rebuilding of his own community after a tornado destroyed the school and the community, including his own home. I had the honor of playing against him throughout high school and even in a state championship. his teams were always tough and never played dirty. He will be missed......I'll leave a cool article about him

It's official...Favre is going to......
Well...As much as it pains me to restart this portion of my brain...the Brett Favre Retirement/NonRetirement Season has officially begun. This gentleman from a Chicago media outlet has written a piece about Favre coming back to play for our Beloved Vikings. And I could not help but admire how cool this photo is of The Legend in purple. Take it as you will...But something tells me it will be the year 2025 and we will STILL be wondering if this guy is going to be wearing a football uniform come Fall. And in closing...I would totally jump on the Favre bandwagon if he did show up...
Here is the link...(from yahoo mind you(((

Mark Wilf comments about Childress
Mark Wilf was asked if Childress would be coming back next year....and here is your answer:

I kind of have mixed feelings about this. I don't like the discontinuity and uncertainty in coaching these days, but I still wonder if the Vikes' offense can get any better with Childress at the helm. It is so encouraging to have owners who are wiling to go the extra mile, but is it in vain?
