Stampede Blue Where are you Polian Bashers?

So we won!Good Result.

I kept quiet over the entire Polian affair that occured when he had the cheek to concider what might be best for the team, and drop starters in the final 2 games of the season. The reason for this was that I didnt even want to spend my time ready the pages and pages that were posted on the matter, and if you dont want to read this then click away now.

Many people said that if we lost this game then that would be it!His time in Indy should be over! Are you all Fucking mental!?Its easy to say this now that we won the game last night but in all seriousness, if we had lost would you really be calling for his head!?

The best drafter of any team makes a decision and tells fans that he doesnt care what you think, so lets get him out!?If I was in his position I too wouldnt care what we all think!I wouldnt be getting paid to sit and worry about the fans. I'm getting paid to make sure the team is as healthy as it can be going into the playoffs.

You can slag me off as much as you like but you have to see sense. Even if we lose next weekend I will position no blame on Mr Polian, nor Mr Caldwell. They have created a solid team in every aspect this year. They have ensured that rookies are ready. They have ensured that 3rd string guys are ready. I personally am glad that 2nd and 3rd string guys got to play in 16 & 17. It increases the experienced depth that the team has. Who knows how many will have to step up next week!?

I dont want to sit here and criticise all Colts fans because at a point of the season theres no point and it doesnt gain anything. It also gives ammunition to other fans on here.

Before you reply please consider the time, sweat, lack of sleep all put into the Colts by Mr Polian to ensure that year in year out there is a productive,AFC South topping, hard working football team and consider how lucky we truely are to have a member of staff such as him within our organisation.

Im glad we won last night and I'm looking forward to next weekend.

Stampede Blue Albert to the Skins

Looks likes the Skins have overpaid for him.Not a surprise really! Its supposed to be a $100 million contract with 41 guarenteed! This is all set to go through aslong as there are no complications.

Now that is an insane amount of money for someone that only performs in his contract years!

....maybe the skins will overpay D.Hall too while theyre at it!...oh wait looks like they already have...

...Hall reached an agreement with the Washington Redskins on a six-year, $54 million deal that includes $22.5 million guaranteed and $30 million in the first three seasons.

Go Colts!

Stampede Blue Polian Gone MAD!!

Ok we all know how good Bill is at Drafting. What if someone slips him and the entire front office some silly pills and they go crazy with the first round pick!?Who do they go for? What do they do?

Heres my guess......Trade up to No 2 spot and get DT Monroe or Jason Smith. Then trade to the Lions for Calvin Johnson. We give them Addai and the No2 pick for Mr Johnson then draft a RB in the 2nd round!

Itll never ever ever even come close to happening but i'm supposed to be writing about Carbon Fibre and i'm trying to entertain my mind!

GO COLTS!

Stampede Blue Marvin Gone?

Words from shefters mouth.....

Everyone keeps focusing on WR Terrell Owens‘ future with the Cowboys. But the more pressing issues surround Colts WR Marvin Harrison.

It’s no longer a question of if Harrison, 36, will be let go. It has become a question of when. It will happen in the coming days, certainly before the new league year starts a week from Friday, but few are sure exactly when.

But make no mistake: It is happening. The Colts no longer can afford to carry Harrison, who is scheduled to have a $13.4 million number for an Indianapolis team that is starving for more salary-cap room to deal with free-agents-to-be such as CB Kelvin Hayden.

If the Colts were to release Harrison, his $13.4 million number instantly would come off the books, saving the team $7 million against the cap. Harrison still would count $6.4 million in dead money, but more importantly, there would be the $7 million savings.

Plus, the Colts have been bracing for this day, drafting Anthony Gonzalez in the first round and grooming young WRs Roy Hall and Pierre Garcon.

The Colts’ first-round draft pick in 1996, Harrison will finish his Indianapolis career with 1,102 catches for 14,580 yards and 128 touchdowns.

It was a great career. The last chapter soon will be written

Stampede Blue Another Writer Overlooks Manning

For what feels like the 100th installment of my crusade around the leagues writers to find who is picking the right Manning for MVP, we come to Pat Kirwin.

To set the record I generally agree with the guy.He seemes Football smart so I posed the question to him that I wanted to confirm with him.

Jack , UK

Pat, Who is your MVP 14 weeks in?

Pat Kirwan, NFL.com

Jack, right now James Harrison leads the list on the defensive side of the ball. But of course we look to the offense for MVP most of the time. Eli Manning was my pick before Week 14. He had a bad game yesterday but I won't let that influence me. Based on the criteria, Where would his team be without him?, Eli, Kurt Warner and Drew Brees are right near the top. If I had time, I could also make a case for Adrian Peterson -- where would the Vikings be without him? Now surely if he was asked "what player makes a team" is there anyone but Sir Manning? Atleast he is using the right selection process, by looking at where teams would be without certain players. So thats another so called expert with a different opinion to the Stampede faithful!

Stampede Blue Prisco for Most Valuable Tool?

As some of you may have noticed i have recently been on the "hating sports writers that dont see Manning as MVP candidate" bandwagon.

When i read this article by the greatest writer of all time, Prisco, I couldn't believe my eyes!

His article reports on the MVP race heading into the 3rd Qtr of the season. Below is what he had to say about the offensive MVP.....

Offensive Player: Brees. With little help from the running game, he's on pace to break Dan Marino's record for passing yards in a season.
Runners-up: Portis, Texas WR Andre Johnson, Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald, Warner, Falcons RB Michael Turner.

Below is what he thinks of the MVP for the league....

MVP: The five Giants linemen will key their second Super push.
Runners-up: Giants QB Eli Manning, Redskins RB Clinton Portis, Cardinals QB Kurt Warner, Titans DT Albert Haynesworth, Saints QB Drew Brees, Broncos QB Jay Cutler

Some of those picks have merit but

WHAT A COMPLETE TOOL!!!!!!

Stampede Blue Dwight and Mathis not included?

According to NFL.com Dwight Freeney and Mathis are not one of the leagues elite pass rushers? They may not have the numbers but look at who they've played against and how well they've done.I might be being an absolute homer but shouldn't atleast one of them be there fo sho?

Who is the best pass rusher in the league?
Falcons DE John Abraham
Steelers LB James Harrison
Dolphins LB Joey Porter
Cowboys LB DeMarcus Ware
Texans DE Mario Williams

Stampede Blue Manning not for MVP according to Sharpe

This afternoon I was logged onto the chat on nfl.com. Todays chat was with Sterling Sharpe from the NFL network. This question was asked to him;

Paul, Manitowoc Wis.

Who do you think is going to win MVP this season?

Sterling Sharpe, NFL.com

Kurt Warner. It's a close race though, with a lot of guys ... Albert Haynesworth, Kris Jenkins, Adrian Peterson... people want to put Brett Favre in there too. Now i had to reply to that!!

Jack, UK

No Peyton Manning in MVP race!?

Sterling Sharpe, NFL.com

Uhhh, no. I'm holding him to the high standard that he has set for himself the last few years, and he's not there. What a clueless chump he his!!maybe he was just pissed at me because I may have suggested his brother was a better player then he was!!

Stampede Blue Pressure!

Man those Steelers can bring the pressure!I sure hope they've spent all of their sack tokens in one night! They got 7 on campbell, whose a mobile quarterback and tried his hardest to escape the defensive line as quick as he could!

How does everybody think we'll hold up against their D line and D in general?Think we're gonna see a lot of quick passes and screens to the likes of Dallas and Addai?

GO HORSE!!!

Stampede Blue Bob Back!?

I think I'm living in a dream land but wouldn't it be amazing if Sanders returns in this game and catched the Titans off guard!?

Have we got an expected game of return for our much missed safety?I know he isn't the be all and end all of our D but I cant wait for his return.

I do have to give props to Melvin Bullitt tho.I think so far he's stepped up to the role as well as anyone could have.

GO HORSE!

Stampede Blue Colts Sign DT McCargo

Adam Shefter Reports Colts Sign Defensive Lineman John McCargo from the Bills more to come i presume because i need to fill the 75 word count,im sure this is enough now or now or now or now or now.

The Buffalo Bills traded defensive John McCargo to the Indianapolis Colts. The Bills no longer had a need for McCargo and the Colts were starved for defensive tackles. Now they’ve acquired a talented one that underachieved in Buffalo.

More details to follow.

GO COLTS
