Hello AN,

I've got a yahoo fantasy league of 15 ANers and our draft is today at 4:45. However, we won't be allowed to draft with an odd number of teams, so if anybody would like to join, please please do so. League info will be posted below.

And to current members who read this, yes we are drafting at 4:45, not 5:15 as originally planned.

Thanks,

As I did last year, I've set up a yahoo fantasy league for ANers only. It's head-to-head scoring, with a live online draft set for Feb. 28th at 5:15pm (date and time can be changed if need be).

League Name: AN League 2009

League ID # 52738

League Password: 72737489

It's 12 teams max so go sign up quick if you want a spot!!

Thanks and let's have a great season!!

Vida Blue Jersey Day: How Early Should I Get There?

I'm going to the game on the 22nd this month for the Vida Blue jerseys. This'll be the first time I've gone to a promotional game with the intention of getting the thing they're passing out that day. I usually don't care enough about what ever they're passing out to go early enough. But seeing as how I've wanted a 70's A's jersey for a long time now, I REALLY WANT TO GET THERE EARLY ENOUGH TO GET ONE!

So, I ask the advice of AN: the game starts at 1:05, gates open at 10, how early should I get to the stadium to get a jersey?

Since when was Cust at First Base an option?

So I was reading the Chronicle this , morning and I look at the A's notebook and Ratto brings up something weird and somewhat scary in his first sentence. "Another quiet but decidedly warmer day at A's camp revealed the arrivals of designated hitter and first-base candidate Jack Cust......" This is the first I've heard of Cust being at first, and I come here every day, so I don't see myself as out of touch with A's news. This seems kinda random. It also doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense, what with Barton probably being our starting first baseman. Has anybody else heard about this before? Or is Ratto just pulling this out of the air?

Second AN League

UPDATE There' still ONE more slot left in this league as of 10:30 this morning. Anyone who wants it, it's all yours.

i just started a second AN fantasy baseball league for the rest of us who wanted to be in JLaff's, but were too late. Same rules and scoring as JLaff's.
League Name: Athletics Nation League V.2.0
League ID #49659
password: oakland
ULR:http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo....

My team is The Jack Custers

i posted a comment about this in JLaff's diary, so i've already got a few people. Team max number is 12.

just one thing, im no fantasy guru (looking at my yahoo fantasy sports profile will make that clear), so this won't be a very intense league. It'll be mainly for fun, so don't take it too seriously. It's a casual league. No mean stuff, ok?
