Super intriguing thoughts. I've nothing to add.

I suppose it's possible the small school competition may have led them to worry about his ability to play at a high level vs. top competition.

If this alternative universe hypothesis is bothersome, then I'm compelled to ask: Walsh drafted Montana.

Just because Herm Edwards did it doesn't mean the league should abandon it. Most coaches are bad at clock management and employing a clock management specialist

I'm not into the whole brevity thing.

These sort of questions rarely get any sort of satisfactory answer.

No offense to you or anyone -- well really to offend very many -- I read this in an absurdly offensive Johnny Depp as Tonto voice.

So he really does have a legitimate need for that adderall subscription.

I didn't, but even though it worked out remarkably well for Seattle, I can say now that I was wrong to think he wouldn't have been a good pick.

First time I heard it described, I heard it as the 4 aces package. NASCAR has taken off, and I have no idea what the official team name is.

Mmmmmmt. I dunno; Julio Jones & Robert Griffin are on track to make the cost of their acquisition more than justified.

Definitely some truth to that.

Awesome comment. Browner wasn't blocked by a receiver though; they motioned the receiver to the backside to try to get him out of the way

Right. Lateral, and contiguous options have been around for a while and work. A dropback pocket RO-PA that only resorts to PA if the first two options aren't there seems infeasible, though.

None of this is to say I didn't root incredibly hard for every Patriot opponent to prevent 16-0, all the way up to New York stealing their thunder

I guess I thought you were just saying a RO-PA would work better as a RO3 where the pass built off play-action was a 3rd option

I can see what you mean by a pass option being a third option, but I'm not sure how it works. Wouldn't you need an additional read

I think three championships would change very much. And I think his reputation among peers would rocket to the top.

You're kind of right; it's not the classic Chip Kelly IZR formation that Seattle has used.
